Help! Sensations Will Not Stop After 1 Week

Hi Everyone -

Relatively new user to Aneros devices, but am having a concerning problem.  I have been experiencing involuntary anal contractions / buzzing and unwanted arousal since my last session over a week ago.

These sessions are greatly exacerbated by movement (i.e. walking / exercising / riding a bike) and are exceedingly difficult to ignore.

As much as this might sound like fun, it prevents me from being able to function in the real world.

I need some expert advice as to how to get these sensations down to a manageable level.

Would very much appreciate some concrete suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

Dave

The phenomenon you are experiencing is called butt buzz and is not uncommon for newbie users upon having awakened their prostate. From the Aneros WIKI - Glossary:

butt buzz is persistent, even insistent, energy in your anus, rectum, prostate, perineum, scrotum/testicles area, sometimes experienced spontaneously apart from an Aneros session. Faint to mild muscle spasms leading up to an orgasm may also occur.

This is a condition which will abate over time, probably a few days to a week. It may reoccur as a result of future Anerosessions but will probably be less severe and abate more quickly as you become attuned to your new prostate aware state of consciousness.

There is really nothing to be concerned about nor any particular strategy to eliminate it, you might try to ejaculate a bit more frequently to alleviate some of your arousal level and stimulate the release of prolactin as a calming hormone.

If you feel it is really severe you could be experiencing a Kundalini awakening and some grounding techniques may help deal with this, consulting an experienced Kundalini yoga teacher is your best approach if this is the case.

Good Vibes to You!

It's now been 2 weeks with no improvement.  I am unable to walk, exercise or even drive without triggering unwanted "near orgasm" feelings.

Masturbation provides only minutes of relief.

Is this to be expected?  It seems like I may have given myself PGAD which is far from desirable.

I'm sorry you are still experiencing those disturbing sensations. NO, what you are experiencing is not something to be expected.  Are you experiencing the common sensations of PGAD ?
1.) face and neck becoming red or flushed.
2.) abnormally high blood pressure.
3.) abnormally high heart rate.
4.) shallow, rapid breathing.
5.) muscle spasms throughout the body.
6.) blurred or spotty vision.
7.) pain in your genital area, especially penis shaft.

Some of these symptoms are similar to Kundalini Syndrome such as :
1.) Muscle cramps or spasm, spontaneous twitching and tremors
2.) A feeling of energy rushing through the body, almost like an electric impulse, a sensation of vibration
3.) Itchy, prickly, or tingling sensations on the skin
4.) Headaches or pressure in the head
5.) Increased heart rate
6.) Digestive issues, like loose bowels or constipation
7.) Negative emotions, Depression depersonalization
8.) Deregulation of body temperature
9.) Hallucinations or mood swings
9.) An over-all feeling of an unpleasant nature

From what I've read Persistent Genital Arousal Disorder (PGAD) is uncommon for men and treatments range from psychological counseling to psychotropic medications. Likewise, Kundalini syndrome is also uncommon, but it has been reported on this forum. Treatment consists of psychological grounding combined with holistic lifestyle changes. If this is the case, as I advised above, consulting an experienced Kundalini yoga teacher may be your best approach.

Good Vibes to You!

I've never heard of this.

Interesting.

I know it is really bothering you (and I hope it gets better).

Sounds to me like it would be amazing for a day or two before the freakiness sets in.

@dastanced I’m really sorry to hear what you’re going through and I hope you find a way to calm this. I don’t have experience with anything like this, but from what I’ve read, this might be related to the awakening of Kundalini energy. Maybe you could find someone experienced with Yoga that knows about the chakras. I believe also there are people who teach Yoga that have a more specific understanding of Kundalini. Maybe you could find someone in your area who could help you. Good luck and I hope you can resolve this soon.

Hi @dastanced.

I haven't looked into the forum for a long time! I thought I would see what's going on out of interest and your post caught my eye.

I had a full blown Kundalini syndrome following my first few uses of a Progasm I can't even remember how many years ago it was now. I'm not saying that is what is happening to you now but it's a possibility. Mine certainly started in a very similar way to what you are describing but progressed to something much more weird. I wonder if you are having a minor one?

@rumel has given you some information about a Kundalini Syndrome but in my experience there were some very specific characteristics to it. Can I ask you some questions:

Is the sensation specific to the sacral area? In me it was within a few days very specifically located there.

Is there emotion involved? Any emotion, particularly affection and music, triggered it very strongly.

Do you have any sensations like electricity through your body? I felt like I was being electrocuted and felt like it was going to kill me.

How do you feel emotionally? I was on a total high, but very much under control and not manic.

Are there any spiritual elements to it? I had the feeling of going through a spiritual awakening and became aware of a 'greater reality'. At one point I became aware of beings of light around me and even saw a young boy running around our living room (a clairvoyant once told me we had the spirits of two dead children in our house). I was scared to death that I was going to have a full Kundalini Awakening at any minute.

I believe that everyone experiences this differently. However you experience it it is definitely not fun.

If you have any of the above then I would say you may be having a Kundalini Syndrome. If so it will settle but you need to do everything in your power to calm it. I would contradict the advice to orgasm for me that made it infinitely worse and I have read advice elsewhere also advising against this: it is a strong sexual energy and you want to calm it not encourage it.

Grounding is VERY helpful. Walk on wet grass, eat calming foods, meditate and stay calm and get plenty of sleep (if you can).

If nothing works see your GP tell him you are stressed out and cannot sleep and hope he prescribes some benzodiazepines. I managed without those but they can help as can anti-psychotics.

This may or may not be of any use, and hopefully it has settled by now anyway.

Really, pgad is a feminine disorder. The male version is priapism which is basically hours long erections, even when not aroused.

Maybe you just got over excited and fried your cns a bit. It’ll settle down. Sounds like your adrenal glands are in overdrive. Some bodies are very sensitive to stresses. Strength training is good for stress adaptation. Get some exercise in whether you feel like it or not. Sensoral ashwagandha is a great supplement for controlling stress hormones. Don’t be taking Valium or other drugs unless your admitted to a psyche ward, they are very addictive and aren’t good for us.
Hope you feel better soon.

@helghast - I like your thought about 'frying' the cns. That's how it felt for me!

I am a doctor and if someone came to me describing what I thought was a Kundalini Syndrome (rare as hen's teeth so very unlikely, and not a recognised medical diagnosis anyway) I would certainly consider a low dose of valium or something similar. Not addictive for short periods of time and given how severe this syndrome can be I think it would be very appropriate. I have read of anti-psychotics also being used, and given that there is such a thing as Kundalini Psychosis it sort of makes sense.

I forgot to mention the exercise! You are totally correct that it can also help greatly.

@smudgefish

I’m just one of those people who believes one can do a lot to help oneself before drugs get involved. I’m not a fan of drugs,I think they are given out far to easy nowadays. Especially ssri and things like Valium. In fact,I read some research is being done to find a link between the uptake in Alzheimer’s and dementia and the use of ssri. IMO anxiety drugs are addictive, and anti depressants in the form of beta blockers usually the ‘safer’ alternative.

Unpopular opinion alert: I don’t really believe in kundalini syndrome. The symptoms can be attributed to a million disorders and conditions. I have read about it,but once I read change your diet and hug a tree,as treatment, that was me gone.
