Vibrating vs non-vibrating

I am confused over who should be using vibrating models and who should be using non-vibrating models.

Is one preferred for beginners and if so why?

Is it bad to start with a vibrating model and get (lazy) or used to not having to move the device manually? Or it be better to learn initially to tune into the more subtle sensations from a manual model.

Hard to say in all honesty, due to the fact that some men get off easily from vibration, and others don't (like me). For me to get off on vibrating toys they have to be really slow or very low vibration strength. If its even just 3 seconds of anything powerful, I'm numb and my session is either ruined or I have to wait a while to feel anything down there. Back in the day when I hunted for prostate orgasms (I didn't have them, but used Aneros and every toy imaginable to try to have them) I used vibrating dildos hoping they would "push me over the edge" but they never worked. Then when I had orgasms from no vibration and just normal Aneros toys and normal dildos, I tried vibrating toys again and they didn't work. It wasn't until Aneros put out their vibrating toys that I could finally have prostate Os from such toys.

But some men need heavy vibration to feel anything or have Os. You could be one of those men. Or you could be like me. Or, vibrating toys might not work on you at all!?

I think beginners should never use vibrating toys. They probably won't feel what contact stimulation of a toy on their prostate really feels like. And you HAVE TO FEEL THAT in order to make the brain-body connection that tells the user of the toy "this toy is hitting my prostate just like this and it feels just like this." If the beginner focuses on that sensation, it can lead to something bigger, like orgasm. I don't think vibrating toys are "lazy" at all. If anything they are just in a class all their own apart from non-vibrating toys.

I think @techpump is spot on here. Vibrations can be a real mixed bag but I agree with him that newbies should learn with non-vibrations first then after they have learned to orgasm that way some vibration can add variety to one's Anerosessions. The Helix SYN V is an excellent dual modality instrument for this purpose.

Good Vibes to You!

techpump/rumel - Thanks for the replies. That was exactly what I was looking for. I have the Vice 2 and the Syn V. The Vice fills me up which feels good but the top edge rubs on something inside me (top of rectum or prostate?) The first time I used it I had good results. It started feeling like I was going to ejaculate but in a minute or two the feeling of ejaculation went away but the sensation of orgasm remained. I then (in another session) used the Syn V and even though it didn't fill me it felt good. There was a vibration mode that kind of drove me wild. It would give very faint random taps on my prostate.

The only problem was that the vibrations against my prostate irritated it and I ended up with a prostate infection. I am a little concerned about using vibrations and if I do I will limit the time a lor more till I get used to it.

I am very much in tune with and enjoy the more subtle sensations from all over my body so I think a non vibrating model would work for me also. I was looking at the PSY. You guys confirmed what I was thinking though that as a beginner the non vibrating model would be a better way to start (and continue if it works well)

Did you leak any prostate fluid or semen during that session that irritated your prostate? If not, you might have generated a lot of arousal and your prostate and seminal vesicles produced fluids required for semen, and your genital tract got ready for ejaculation due to excitement and arousal you experienced, but then, you didn't ejaculate. If you did ejaculate at the end of that session, or if you milked some fluid out of your prostate, then you might have just straight up irritated your prostate due to over-stimulation of it. If you generated fluid and it built up but didn't release, it stayed in there and that's how sometimes infections occur.

This is one reason why I always end every session with a Super T. I can literally feel the fluid and pressure built up in the root of my genitals and they are screaming for ultimate, full release. I have to give them that release. And the release is major!!! The pleasure and sensation is just exquisite anyway. Sometimes I read on the forum here that finishing with Super T can somehow prevent or lengthen the 'rewiring' process towards achieving a Super O. It might, but I don't think a Super T in any way shortchanges the user of the Aneros or their journey. If anything its an excellent way for the Aneros user to become even more in contact with their own sexual, orgasmic, and ejaculatory response.

I agree, newbies should be well into their journey before using vibration.I have the HSV and about the only settings I use are 1,2 and most of the time 7 all in the low range.I have at times thought did I accidently start the vibration while inserting because the sensation feels exactly like it and it couldn't get any better than this. When the pleasure starts to back off and I go to no.7 its like O my how did they invent something that feels like it's part of me.

@techpump - My first session with the Vice 2 lasted about an hour. I used very mild vibrations that made me really have to relax and to pay attention to feel them. I did not have any fluid exit my prostate but the feeling of orgasm lasted for a while. I was kind of excited after the session because generally due to my enlarged prostate my pee stream isn't very strong but after that session I peed like I was 15 years old again. When I got the Syn V I didn't have an opportunity to lay down and relax so I inserted it, out my pants on and went about my day. After about an hour with it I switched back to the Vice 2 in order to compare the two. I used that one for another hour. Because I couldn't focus as well I needed to have the vibrations set to the highest level. When I finished my prostate felt sore. Within a day the infection started to set in.

I had on numerous occasions in the past milked my prostate to empty the fluid from it and never had a problem.

@evergreen - I also like the sensations so faint that sensing them is like listening to a whisper. The only thing I have concerns about is that my prostate isn't as sensitive as it was when I was younger and that what sensations I do have don't feel as erotic as they once did (possibly due to the enlargement). I am hoping that with practice I can get it back to where they once were.

I do feel that if I am required to move the Aneros by myself I can get a better idea of what I am feeling I think the Syn V might be better for that as it is smaller and doesn't make me feel as full.

One thing I am having a hard time with is keeping either of them in. I would like to go to bed with one in (because it is the perfect time to relax) but am afraid that it would fall out onto the bed when I fall asleep or if I get up to pee. I am not ready for my wife to find out about it.

I think you should do whatever feels good. I have the opinion that beginners get caught up in trying to have an O than just relaxing and enjoying it. If vibes make you feel like your on cloud 9 that is good. If you feel like it is just buzzing away doing nothing move onto something else.

I have a Magic Wand which is excellent but the head is very large so to get it right on the perineum takes some experience but wow does it feel good when you get it there. It is also strong enough to stimulate the prostate as well. And hold on tight if your put it on your frenulum.

Tho I am lucky that my prostate is more sensitive than most. I can't handle the highest setting of the Syn V or the Lovense Edge both of which if I turn on the highest setting I O so quickly that I can't edge.

@innerexplorer if I may ask, what did you feel  with the infection. Did you have to go to the doctor or take any medication? Thanks in advance.
