@crzfool58 contractions are the pelvic muscles which tend to pull the Aneros inside to the max - the Progasm and Progasm Jr have rigid p and k tabs and may produce pain when they contact the perenium and/or tailbone area! The Syn models are smooth and flexible and are not painful. Some have put padded material on the tabs or cut some material off entirely.

I recently got a Black Ice model. I can't get it to pull itself in, so I have to slide it in myself. 

Once fully in, I can tense and release my sphincter to move the Ice back and forth, but again, l can't get it to move on it's own. 

What am I doing wrong or not doing that I should be doing? 

You may not be relaxing enough to let the Progasm do its thing. When it’s ready to go after you have been totally relaxed and waiting, you may find that it will pull inside to the maximum and begin moving on its own! When it does, relax and enjoy the ride!

I should put the Black Ice in just over the first bump, and then wait? Does it make any difference whether laying on my back with knees bent and feet flat on the bed, or on my stomach with butt in the air. I've tried both and waiting 5 minutes or so.

Today the road crew was rebuilding the street beside my house with jackhammers, backhoes, and backing-up beeps, and the lawn crew was mowing the lawn outside my open window. They may have been distracting.

Once fully in, I did 5 sets of 10 sphincter flexes, but couldn't get the Black Ice to start doing contractions on its own. Any suggestions for getting those to start happening? 

@spurred_on do the sphincter contractions slowly - pull in and hold - release and relax. Repeat and soon they will become automatic! When you feel the head of your Progasm touch your prostate hold the position and relax. Might feel different at first but practice anyway. Make sure you use lots of lube so the head can glide across your prostate! The building intense pleasure will drive you into a euphoric state - enjoy!

I like the tingly feeling. Makes me reach my hand down to kinda encourage more of it. 

I'm a newbie to the whole anal sex thing.

Other than analingus where I've been both the giver and receiver, I've always been the top in anal sex. Never knew there were so many feelings inside the anal canal. Having something inside me is all new to me..
