I'm reading the wiki and I can't find a definition / explanation on the different possible contractions. I then found on the forum a very good explanation of rectal and anal contractions:

https://community.aneros.com/forum/general-discussion/question-about-contractions/#post-13387

but I can't find an explanation on the abdominal contractions mentioned in the wiki, (is it a simple contraction of the abdominals?? ) if the authors or a member of the forum could enlighten me on this subject, I am interested...

I have been frustrated and a bit confused myself as to what the exact definition of "contraction" is being used when/where, because it seems like everyone uses the word in different ways!  From what I've been able to tell there are involuntaries which happen (and can be identified) when the Aneros is moving by itself, and then there are holding contractions which are consciously done and are things like squeezing the PC muscles or the anus.  Those are my own definitions and might be contradicted by other more experienced users chiming in...

I wouldn't worry about trying to add abs into the mix, all though they play a part later on, its more involuntary. Pelvic floor is enough. You may want to try the do nothing method also.  Its not for everybody, just lucky few.  The Crimsonwolf Method: PreWiring and the Confident Boomerang – General Discussion – Aneros Forum
