I just tried my new Vice 2. Amazing sensations!  I have the Syn Trident and wanted something motorized.

My question is two fold.  Should I get a lube applicator? How long is safe to have this toy inside me?  I'm 57 and only two months in on this journey.  My wife is all in but does not want to participate in the experience so I find alone time to enjoy.  It feels amazing. Wish I would have discovered this much earlier!

Also have the Vice2 as well as HelixSynV and enjoy them both! As to the amount of time, you shouldn’t have to worry as long as you’re lubed. Also you can turn off the vib and just enjoy the fullness of the Vice as it sits on your prostate. A lube applicator is helpful in getting the lube in deeper beyond the reach of your fingers. Enjoy the pleasure and keep us updated on your progress!

Hello  @k5enjoying

Glad it worked at the beginning of your journey. I find it interesting to know the perspective of those who are starting . How did you feel? .

About lubrication, I use Eupho (which is thin), usually just a layer of lubrication over it and a little lubrication in the anus (by hand) is enough. The situation is different with my Progasm JR, it is bigger and I see a greater need to inject .

Take tests and see if during the period of use the comfort is better.

Good luck on the journey !

I ordered a lube shooter and am just wondering how much to use and how far in to put it.

I'm using water based KY jelly.  Is that a good option?

Probably a liquid would be easier to load - usually a couple of ounces but will vary with individuals. Insert fully and as you remove it slowly, push the plunger as you do depositing lube as you remove! Enjoy!

The primary function of the lubrication is to assure a minimum of friction between your Aneros and you. Since the rectum produces very little in the way of natural lubrication, it is necessary to provide supplemental lubrication to assure a comfortable and irritation free buffer. Understand the amount of Aneros movement generated by your internal muscular contractions is actually very small, so in that sense it doesn't really slide much at all (except upon insertion and extraction). The concept of the Aneros moving freely is just to make sure there is no encumbrance to these small movements. There have been continuing discussions on the Forum about lubrication types and issues. Next to discussions about the Super-O, lubrication is another frequently discussed topic. I recommend you first read the Lubrication paragraph in the Getting Started chapter of the Aneros WIKI and then read through the Bestlube..., Need Help with lube choice, coconut oil, Coconut Oil and Unrefined shea butter..., threads for additional information and insight into this topic. Most commercially prepared, water based personal lubricants contain glycerin which has laxative effects and depending on the sensitivity of the individual, may cause the dreaded "urge to purge" syndrome cutting short one's Anerosession. Additionally, glycerin when synthesized by the body may lead to elevated triglyceride levels in the blood. However, other individuals seem to be unaffected by the small amounts of glycerin in these lubricants. In any event, glycerin (whether naturally or synthetically derived) is but one of many chemical constituents in these lubes. Additionally water based lubes do tend to dry out over the extended time that Aneros users employ them, thus reapplication may be necessary. As far as I know there have been no long term studies of the health effects of commercially prepared or natural personal lubricants. Because of the frequency and duration of Anerosessions the use of commercial personal lubricants has become a subject of concern for a number of Forum members due to the repeated exposure to the chemical constituents contained in these products and their long term health effects. Many members have chosen to seek out more natural lubricants in hopes of ameliorating any long term negative effects. There are many choices for natural lubrication, it is more a matter of personal preference which particular lube you choose to use. Olive, coconut, walnut and almond oils are all popular alternative natural lube choices, shea butter is another popular natural lubricant. These natural lubricants do not contain glycerin. The rectal wall is a highly permeable membrane, easily absorbing water and the chemicals therein. While natural oil lubes do get absorbed like water based lubes, the absorption rate is slower and as the viscosity of the oil increases, the absorption rate decreases. Hence lighter weight (low viscosity) oils like grape seed and olive oil will be more readily absorbed and disperse more rapidly than heavier oils (higher viscosity) like almond oil or canola oil. Additionally oil based lubes tend to last longer before they start to lose their lubricity. Personally, I am concerned about the uptake of the various chemicals in commercial 'personal lubricants'. Since I've developed a sensitivity to the glycerin found in many of the commercial lubricants, I've switched to using natural oil based lubricants such as a 50%-50% mixture of almond oil and shea butter or a 67% coconut oil - 33% shea butter mixture or the 'Natural Jelly' formulation. These compounds are safe for use with both the plastic and silicone Aneros models. I find these natural lubes are both long lasting and of sufficient lubricity to not hinder desired Aneros movement for long Anerosessions. As a side note, the 'Natural Jelly' formulation is very tenacious in its adherence to your massager.

It should be noted that silicone based lubes should not be used with any of the SYN models, the Vice 2 or the DeVice model as it will degrade the surface composition. Silicone lubes may bey used with the classic acetyl Trident and Peristal models and the Tempo model as well.

...usually a couple of ounces ...

I think that is way too much. 2 ounces = 59 ml. usually 5-10ml. is all you need

Good Vibes to You!

What other members said above is absolutely correct.

Don't worry so much, what matters about this is that you are comfortable during the session. As @rumel said, lubrication is just to reduce friction as much as possible. After injecting the lubricant it will automatically spread inside the anus.

About brands or types, see what's best for you.@rumel suggested some options above.
