I recently dropped my new mgx. It wasn't a big drop, but it fell on the floor as I was done washing it. I noticed, towards the top part, there was a small crack/slit. I can feel it with my fingers as well. It's about one inch long. I was wondering if is still safe to use? Is it just an external crack? Thanks!

Does it leave a sharp edge or small edge that could cut you internally? Note it does not take much to do internal damage in the anal canal. Also small cracks in plastic at breeding grounds for bacteria. Unless there is a way to repair it I'd say saftey before pleasure. If it feels jagged at all use would make me nervous. Perhaps it's repairable? Maybe another user has better knowledge of a broken toy.

It doesn't feel jagged at all. It literally looks like a small line. Also, you have to really "try" to look for it or it's not really noticeable.

I wouldn't risk it. Maybe time for a new model?

You can weld the MGX. I have done this. It is quite a challenge. Regarding the crack. It is most likely that the heating and cooling of the Aneros will draw in fecal matter. This can then cause bacteria growth. My original MGX had a cavity that became obvious as fecal matter was drawn into it. I can give more info if required.

If you get a new one, don't get an mgx. I would get a helix or pro jr. Mgx is my least favorite toy.

Helix Syn is also a sweet model to play with. It's quite easy to manouver for maximum efficiency. The only thing I dislike is it sometimes retains a bad odour. I end up leaving soaking overnight in soapy water with a dash of bleach.

If you have a Dremel tool it might be interesting to remove all the damaged area and then develop a new, more slender shape. When you think you've reached solid material try a "dye penetrant test" using food coloring or ink to make sure the fractured area is removed. Then, polish the surface using 600grit material or perhaps Jeweler's rouge. A final shape that's symmetrical will probably ride best.

On the other hand you might try to drill out the fracture and repair by filling with a medically acceptable glue.
