Has anyone else run into this problem with the old Helix Syn where the K-tab loopy arm is rubbing into the bed and causing friction? This happens when I'm lying on my back with my legs bent and feet flat.

It seems to be interfering with my sessions and I'm not sure what to do.

Please help!

Is there any pleasure benefit to the K tab on the Helix Classic ?  I have one but I haven't noticed anything from it that helps with pleasure.  It does seem to help keeping the aneros straight up though.

cut off the loopy bit, leaving a couple centimeters so it will still press against your skin for balancing, but not hit the bed. picture attached. I cut mine with scissors and softened the spiky tip with a lighter flame. There is surely a better method, as many here could tell you, but those are the only tools I own, and it worked perfectly for me.

I got out the old Helix Syn just a few days ago but definitely had trouble laying on my back.  Been thinking about modifying it for a while but the new Trident version has some small subtle improvements that make a big difference.  If you're not mechanically minded, you might consider getting the new Trident, that's what I did.

The looped handle is almost purely cosmetic.  I don't even use it to pull the Helix out, since getting used to the Trident.  In fact sometimes that red handle can chafe that part of my body behind my anus.  I know I used to say that the old Syn models weren't completely obsolete but the longer I use the HST the more I rethink that!

I did it with a fine metal saw and sandpaper to smooth the end. Really improved things, I don't think there's any reason I would go back, never had a problem in 10+ years, I did it to all my models except the Progasm.
