Been talking to a number of members recently in the chat about lubes.
The lube I use is a 4-ingredient mix, and I'll document that some other time.
But 2 of those are something that can be cheap to buy, not complex and thus probably can find in most superstores.
Vaseline jelly is quite nice for lube. Doesn't hurt the Helix Syn or the Progasm Ice that I have.
And being oil based, doesn't get absorbed by the anal membranes. Perhaps this lets it last longer while playing with the Aneros device.
But one problem I have is that unless it's a hot summer day, the vaseline jelly is a bit too thick and hard to spread on the Aneros device.
And when inserting, it feels like I am pushing some thick paste on my butt cheeks - not slippery, more like a material with lots of friction.
So randomly, some time ago, I discovered that if I mix some baby oil with the vaseline jelly, I get a lube that is much more slippery and easier to spread on the device, and goes in a lot easier into my butt! The baby oil sortof softens the vaseline.
So what I do, is squirt some baby oil into the jar with the vaseline (you will be surprised, but you dont need a lot of baby oil - a few squirts), and then I spend a few minutes mixing this with my finger (it will get messy!). After a while it turns into a lighter mixture, smells great, and is easlier to apply to the device and your butt!
Hope you find this helpful and useful 🙂
Thanks for your advice about the baby oil. Agree, that vaseline is quite nice to use. Unfortunately i'am not sure about the health risk. Vaseline can transport bacteria around your rectum. I got some problem down there but don't no if it was the vaseline - but I think it was.
Today I use a mix of Shea Butter and olive oil. You can use it all night and it's still slippy when you pull Aeros out - very nice.

I have some Shea Butter (and I donlt like it - feels "grainy"). Does the olive oil smooth it out?
How do you mix them?
Yes - you're right, it's kind of grainy but the oil smooth it a little bit. I tried both olive and almond oil and it very good. I have no problem with the graininess, it smelts very fast. Actually I mix it 50/50 but you can try what is best for you. Try mix a bit of beeswax in it. I haven't tried it but heard that you should get a very good mixture.

So do you melt the Shea and then mix in the olive oil?
Or do you get the Shea and squish it into a ball (like making snowballs) and then pour some olive oil over it to make it easier to insert?
Yes, I melt it all together in a micro oven and wait for all the ingredients dissolved. Then I allowed it to cool down. At normal temp. the consistency is a little bit harder than vaseline. In my next portion, I will add beeswax and add as much olive/almond oil to get rid of the graininess
I've been using about 2 ml albolene then coating helix classic with wet platinum lube which is silicone and inserting. Has an excellent slickness to it and is long lasting
?The lore of Shea Butter 'manufacture' in small villages includes a step where the smashed nut butter is forced through cloth bags to attain a smooth product. I've been fortunate in not having excessive 'graininess' in the butters I've purchased from U.S. distributors. As a result I just hold the melt at 200 deg. F. for about five minutes and blend in some unrefined Coconut oil.
However, @Xochipilli (one of the Fathers of Shea Butter suppositories) adds a step to his processing, pouring the melt into ice cube trays via a fine tea strainer.
The next logical step would be to take any granular material left in the strainer and run that through a Mortar and Pestle.
