Hay all πŸ™‚

Is the aneros aupposed to be that glossy finish all over? coz mine has random rough parts, like inderneith is rough and that middle nodule part thats thin(i have the maximus).

Seems like a stupid question and it is supposed to be totaly smooth all over but i wanted to check.

It was like this when it arrived but ve barly used it, Ive had it for like over a year now and it was like this when it arrived.

Anyone have any suggestions as to waht I coud do to smooth these areas over?

Cheers πŸ™‚

Several years ago there was a post in this Forum that the finish on Aneros toys was designed to improve the adherence of lube.

I think though that our lubes have improved to a point where polished toys like the ICE tools are the way to go. I've cleaned up all the seams on my Aneros tools and polished most of them to improve clean-up.

I used to start with sanding cloth 1200 grit or finer, swap to 3000 grit then finish with automotive rubbing compound. (Checkout Amazon.for Turtle Wax's "T" series rubbing compounds.) More recently I collaborated on some mods to the Progasm and we used Scotchbrite pads (grocery store item). Start with the Green pad and finish with the White. These pads are great for working along curved sections of the toy and easier to handle than sandpaper or steel wool.
