Guys,

Granted this won't apply to many people here however in the past there have been several users that have discussed their preference for surgical lube. These are water-based glycerin preparations that are supposed to be sterile. I recently found came across the following warning on line with regard to certain brands of surgical lube and alcohol wipes!

The FDA has recalled tainted alcohol wipes that may have the potential of producing serious, and possibly deadly infection. The Triad Group or H & P Industries has recalled all it's alcohol prep pads and wipes. The company has many of these sold under private label of groups such as Walgreens, Kroger, Safeway, Cardinal Health, PSS Select, VersaPro, Boca/ Ultilet, Moore Medical, CVS, Conzellin. These are found in the USA, Canada and Europe.

Triad Group or H & P Industries, has recalled lots of lubricating jelly in December 2010 as well after finding similar problems with contamination and sterility. These would be packaged under the names Allegiance, Select Medical Products, Novaplus, IMCO, Triad, Triad Plus, Henry Schein, and McKesson Medi - pak Performance. These will have lot numbers 7,8,9,0.
