I did two successive hour long do-nothing sessions over two days with an Aneros Helix inserted, focusing on noticing pleasurable feelings in my pelvic floor area and trying to shift my focus away from trying to accelerate things. In the second session, at one point, I started noticing the pleasurable feelings begin to rise up through my abdomen toward my chest and neck, and I focused on just noticing it, but abruptly, I experienced a sort of panicked feeling, and everything subsided. I wasn't panicking psychologically, but it definitely killed the progression. Any insights or suggestions?

Have you tried breathing? I was so scatterbrained when I started, I couldn't even discipline myself to take ten deep breaths in slow and out slow. It might help you,  but I also have to go back to learning to have no expectations,  and recognize and enjoy the moments when any pleasure happens.

Good luck!

I think it's common to see unreliable results in the beginning. I think many of those who eventually made the goal of consistent Dry-O/super-O can relate that it takes time and a process, although the duration of the "trial and error period" can vary. My suggestion is that you take it slow, and without expectations coming in. Just relax your body as much as you can, and try to focus your attention on your body - lower abdomen centered but be sure to expand your attention so you can truly have a whole body relaxation. Call it a session until you feel you cannot focus any longer (either get too restless or sleepy...)

A couple of tips that worked for me are shared here. One is to make it a point to relax your sphincter. At the end of every out breathe, "feel" it become softer and vulnerable. Don't hold your breathe. Two is to have some erotic images or imaginations on your mind. Don't get distracted by that "story" in your brain though. Just have whatever video or image that turns you on most run in a loop on your mind, with certain details "jump out" here and there... Over time, you will get it. Just be patient and - relax! Good luck!
