GLOSSARY A-M (N-Z is continued a few replies down)

Acetal The material the Aneros models other than the Progasm are made from. All Aneros models are made from FDA approved materials. Acetal is a crystalline polymer with a high melting point. It offers a high modulus of elasticity combined with great strength, stiffness, smoothness, natural lubricity, and resistance to abrasion. Moisture has no effect on it.

acupressure point In the context of the Aneros, locations in which erogenous nerve bundles are near the skin and so are available for directed massaging. A potent acupressure point in the perineum is stimulated by the Aneros P-tab. A second acupressure point between the anus and tail bone is stimulated by the K-tab on the Progasm. (Another erogenous acupressure point can be found 1/4 to 1/3 of the way up the penis from the scrotum.)

addictiveness In the context of the Aneros, the recognition that the pleasure and brain chemistry activated by use of the Aneros can possibly lead to addiction issues in those men who have predispositions to substance or sexual addictions. The problem is exacerbated by: (1) the typical length of Aneros sessions being measured in hours rather than minutes as for traditional masturbation; (2) a suspension of the sense of time when feeling intense pleasure from the Aneros; (3) the increasing ability to use arousal amplification techniques (even to non-ejaculatory orgasm) in settings outside the bedroom, such as at work or while driving; and, (4) the compulsion to achieve the super orgasm as described by others.

anal contraction A contraction, either voluntary or involuntary, of the anal sphincter. This is what drives the motion of the Aneros. Successful use of the Aneros often entails inducing involuntary anal contractions, leading to involuntary and increasing stimulation of the perineum, prostate, anus and rectum, and their erogenous nerves.

anal orgasm A non-ejaculatory orgasm focused on the muscles of the anus and rectum. This is analogous to a vaginal (as opposed to clitoral) orgasm in women. It involves the orgasmic contraction of different (and larger?) muscles than a standard ejaculatory orgasm and so feels deeply pleasurable.

anal sphincter The ring of muscles surrounding the anus. There are two rings, the outer and the inner. The outer is under voluntary control. The inner is not (it is controlled by the autonomic nervous system and can be trained to relax therapeutically with biofeedback). To identify this muscle, squeeze your anus as though you are holding back gas. This is the muscle that primarily drives the motion of the Aneros (although some motion of the Aneros may be produced by pelvic motion such as thrusting and grinding).

Aneros patent The patent awarded to the Japanese urologist who invented the Aneros, specifically for the design of an anal sphincter driven prostate massager. http://www.google.com/patents?vid=USPAT6802850

Aneros horny Being horny for the Aneros. The areas stimulated by the Aneros develop their own sometimes strong urge for stimulation and release.

anus The external opening of the rectum.

arousal amplification Techniques other than direct penis stimulation that increase physical arousal. They include touching of secondary erogenous zones (nipples, anus, thighs, etc.), deep or valley breathing, KSMO and held contractions of pelvic floor muscles. When used skillfully they lead to a cycle of increasing arousal culminating in non-ejaculatory orgasm.

auto-f*** Involuntary Aneros motion inducing the distinct and very pleasurable sensation of receptive sexual intercourse, often to the point of non-ejaculatory orgasm.

bearing down A pelvic floor and abdominal muscular action that can be used in combination with pelvic floor and anal sphincter contractions to control the Aneros and increase arousal. To bear down, push out with your rectum and optionally your abdomen as though you are trying to eliminate a stool or as though you are trying to increase the speed of a urine stream. Bearing down is the "opposite" of PC, anal sphincter, rectal or kegel contractions.

BPH Benign prostate hypertrophy or hyperplasia. A non-cancerous enlarging of the prostate common in middle aged and older men, often causing urinary symptoms. BPH is one of the prostate ailments that the Aneros was originally developed to help treat. See High Island Health.

butt flutters The involuntary contraction or spasming of the anal sphincter that drives the motion of the Aneros, particularly when the contractions are fast and shallow.

calm seas of orgasm A metaphor to describe being in a state of ongoing orgasms yet being very relaxed, and avoiding the usual muscular tension involved in high arousal. Rather than vocalizing, thrusting, contracting or convulsing towards the orgasms, you gently keep all muscles relaxed, breath the pleasure and let the orgasms come to you.

chain reaction orgasms Non-ejaculatory orgasms coming successively often with little rest for up to a half hour, hour or more.

chair orgasm A non-ejaculatory orgasm induced without the Aneros (as executed in a desk chair). Chair orgasms are a sometimes unexpected new ability in Aneros users who have recently become multi-orgasmic (and who are occasionally beset by them when they should be working, etc). They are produced by breathing deeply, vocalizing and/or concentrating on growing P-waves.

clean out To cleanse the rectum with a simple enema in preparation for use of the Aneros.

condom method Sheathing the Aneros in a condom before inserting, typically with lubrication inside and out. This is done to augment the slipperiness of the Aneros's environment and prevent the migration of the lubricant.

convulsions In the Aneros context, ongoing involuntary semi-rhythmic large muscle contractions. Convulsions may involve only small numbers of muscles or may involve much of the body. They may or may not produce pleasure, but are always a product of the sexual excitement of using the Aneros. They may also be part of intense orgasms. Aneros users that have a predisposition to seizures may want to discuss its use with their doctor.

cremaster The muscle covering the testes that controls the raising and lowering of the scrotum. It works involuntarily in response to temperature. During ejaculation the cremaster constricts, drawing the testicles close to the body.

cremaster exercises Also called "testicle elevations." Exercises in which the cremaster is brought under voluntary control and strengthened. Because the drawing up of the testicles is a prelude to ejaculatory orgasm, voluntarily doing so may induce a noticeable sense of arousal in the testicles. To do these exercises, first identify the muscles. Place your finger and thumb gently around your scrotum above the testicles. Then try to draw up the testicles. Your fingers should detect a very slight movement. At first you will involve your abdominal muscles but with practice you can isolate the cremaster, and considerably increase your ability to voluntarily draw in your testicles.

deep breathing Breathing slowly and deeply from the abdomen. Deep breathing allows you to physiologically relax and to concentrate on the sensuous feelings your body can produce. It also allows arousal to grow, whereas shallow breathing and breath holding can frustrate arousal. To learn deep breathing, lie down in loose garments with one hand on your chest and one on your belly button. As you inhale, draw air in by making your abdomen expand (i.e., by expanding your diaphragm) and exhale by letting it recede. Your chest hand should stay relatively stable while your belly hand should rise and fall with your breath. See also valley breathing.

dry-O A non-ejaculatory orgasm that is of medium strength. I.e., it is not a mini-O or a super-O.

dud session An Aneros session which doesn't produce the desired level of sexual satisfaction.

edging Stimulating the penis so as to stay on the brink of ejaculation for a protracted time, such as a quarter hour, half hour or more. Doing this solo is good training for ejaculation control during intercourse.

enema A warm tap water enema used to clean the rectum before using the Aneros (optional, personal preference). It is typically a small amount of water (enough to fill the rectum, but not deeper into the colon) delivered with a rectal bulb, reused fleet enema bottle or the rectal syringe sold on the Aneros site.

erection cycling When using the aneros, sometimes the penis suddenly goes from soft to very erect and then some minutes later becomes soft again, cycling over the minutes in response to changes in internal stimulation.

ESO "Extended Sexual Orgasm," the name of a book by Brauer and Brauer that was among the first to popularize scientifically based sexual techniques that significantly enhance arousal and orgasm.

floor tone The tone of the muscles in your pelvic floor. (See PC muscles).

full body orgasm An orgasm that includes pleasure and muscular contraction throughout the body.

glycerin A common ingredient in water-based personal lubricants that can cause the urge to move the bowels. Glycerin is also an ingredient in suppository laxatives.

hands free cumming An ejaculatory orgasm that does not involve any direct stimulation of the penis, either from purposeful stroking, or incidental rubbing of bedding etc. This is commonly achieved by skilled Aneros users by performing the scrotal stretch.

High Island Health The name of the company that manufactures and distributes the Aneros. The company has its own website, http://www.highisland.com where the same products are sold but for therapeutic rather than sexual purposes.

Hitachi method Applying the Hitachi Magic Wand vibrator to the perineum to induce an Aneros driven non-ejaculatory orgasm. This may only work for users who are near orgasm (and seek to go over). Avoid using the vibrator for more than a few minutes at a time as it may produce temporary numbness.

internal lube Lubrication applied to the rectum in advance of inserting the Aneros. A typical quantity is about 5cc applied with a lube syringe (sold as a lubrication applicator on the Aneros site). Note: using oil based lubes in a lube syringe will ruin its gasket, making it get stuck.

involuntary contraction The contraction of a muscle that happens without voluntary control. This happens continually in the body for different purposes, such as peristalsis. In a sexual context, it can happen in the form of ejaculation or orgasm, and also as spasms, jerks, twitches, shaking, quivering, fluttering, etc. The Aneros design exploits the ability of the anal sphincter and other pelvic floor muscles to rhythmically contract (flutter) in response to particular forms of sexual excitement. These involuntary contractions drive the action of the Aneros, and are amplified by the stimulation it provides. The manufacturer's suggested technique of voluntarily holding light contractions is an attempt to induce the involuntarily rhythmic contractions by introducing fatigue into the anal sphincter (much as how your arm might shake when exhausted from lifting a heavy weight).

isolation exercises Pelvic floor muscle exercises that attempt to work out particular subgroups of the pelvic floor independently from the others. The goal is to gain fine control over the interaction of those muscles in the context of involuntary contractions, to best amplify pleasure. Exercises that may be practiced in isolation are: kegels, rectal clenches, anal sphincter, cremaster and push outs.

kegel exercise Exercises of the PC muscle, both in general and also particularly the subset in the anterior of the pelvic floor. To identify the anterior PC muscles, notice the muscular action used to stop the flow of urine. Alternatively, notice the muscular action used to make an erection move up and down, and throb. (Stopping your urine flow regularly may cause urinary problems, so only do so once or twice to locate these muscles.) After identifying that action try to further refine it by leaving out the use of neighboring muscles such as the abdomen and buttocks. A program of kegel exercises can significantly improve many facets of male sexual response, including: strength of erection, number and intensity of ejaculatory contractions, ejaculatory force, sensations of arousal and pleasure, and control and intensity of the Aneros action. The anterior PC muscles are specifically involved in ejaculatory and prostate orgasms.

KSMO "Key Sound Multiple Orgasm," the copyrighted name for a specific method of using vocalization to drive arousal amplification leading to multiple hands-free non-ejaculatory orgasms, in both men and women. See http://www.multiples.com

K-tab The "Kundalini" tab on the Aneros Progasm, which is the tab that rests above the anus between the buttocks and puts pressure on an acupressure spot there. Named after the yoga concept that there is a serpent of power located at the base of the body's trunk.

male deer exercise (extended) A variation on the tantric "male deer" exercise used to get into a state of orgasmic bliss. The original exercise is used for male sexual health and vitality. It has men placing the palm of their hand on their scrotum and pushing gently down, while the thumb exerts pressure on the base of the penis and pubic bone, on the top side of the penis. The other hand performs a slow circular massage of the region between the pubic hair and navel. The extended variation has the circular massage extend up the body, to the sternum or further, then returning and swapping hands for the next cycle. It continues for as long as it takes to get into an orgasmic state. This is an unexpectedly powerful way to get into a state of bliss. (Can be done with or without the Aneros)

male G-spot The spot on the prostate accessed through the retucm that causes intense sexual response in men analogously to the vaginal G-spot in women.

male multiple orgasm (MMO) Repeated non-ejaculatory male orgasms with a frequency greater than would be possible with ejaculation, because of the absence of the refractory period.

Maximus lube Not to be confused with the Maximus Aneros model. A high quality sexual lubricant called "Maximus" that is slippery, long-lasting, water-based and glycerin-free. Available at cheaplubes.com

milestones Following is a list of milestones along the Aneros journey. Each journey is personal and individual. These milestones may not all apply to everyone. Some men whip through their milestones not even realizing they are milestones. Some skip whole bunches of milestones altogether. Some men accelerate and then plateau, some men move slowly through their milestones. Regardless, the journey is well worth it. The order is approximate and is different for everyone. Where you land is the luck of the draw.

Common modifications include: a slight repositioning of the P-tab to better hit the sweet spot; augmenting the size of the P-tab; polishing the surface of the Aneros to a gloss for better mobility; and, removing the handle (not the p-tab!) to permit sitting and to provide better contact with the prostate (through unimpeded forward rocking).

multi-orgasmic A man or woman who can have multiple non-ejaculatory orgasms.

Hey Darwin!

I agree with Tripper, this is a great sticky idea!

Allot of folks ask about abbreviations or acronyms, too!

Like:

IMHO, HSMO, FBMO, Super-O, Mini-O, HFMO, etc.

My 2 cents!

KSMO

Key Sound Multiple Orgasms is supported by web, tapes, forum, wiki, and online chats. The originator is Dr. Jack Johnston. The primary web sites are www.multiples.com with the forum on www.multiples.com/howtolastlongerinbed/. The objective of KSMO is that relaxation, non penile stimulation, visualization, and a key guttural sound trigger multiple orgasms. KSMO is considered a highly complimentary practice to Aneros use although not at the same time.

BUTT FLUTTERS

Uncontrollable twitching or contractions of multiple muscle groups in the butt and upper thigh areas. Considered subtle but can lead to body shaking or anal orgasms.

To All Forum Users

It occurred to me that to create a glossary that will become a purposeful resource for others, it is important that great care and consideration is given to what is included. If not, such a document would inevitably confuse and distract those that it seeks to help.

As this proposed glossary will be open source , it would seem that there should be some criteria established for including terms in it. Although there may be many more, there are two criteria that immediately come to mind.

The first is RELEVANCE. One person generating a term does not make the term useful in and of itself. It should really count for something...either as a short hand, or a way of adding clarity or depth to an idea or concept. The test for this criteria is.. does this term really say something....and ...is this term useful ?

Second is the USAGE. Has the term had any history of being adopted or otherwise accepted by others. The test here is... has this term appeared repeatedly and is it being used by various members throughout the forum?

If a term does not pass these tests it would likely mean one of two things; that it is not yet ready for inclusion in the glossary or that it does not serve a value to others.

If one filters proposed entries using both of these criteria prior to posting,..it will help separate the wheat from the chaff and prevent the Forum Glossary from becoming mired with all sorts extraneous material. As it is true that the inclusion in this list would ultimately serve to perpetuate the use of these terms, it is important that they have some real meaning and value for forum users to start with.

folks, i've created a thread called "glossary discussion" to follow up on BF Mayfield's suggestions above.

i think we should reserve this thread for the proposal of terms and definitions (and suggestions for corrections, removals, etc).

Brian,

I know that you were working on...or supported a Glossary...so thanks for joining the effort!

I hope also that you will add terms for definitions or actually help with the defintions.

Would you add additional terms to Darwin's list?

For folks like me who are still on an early part of the Aneros journey, we can not propose definitions for P-Wave, Mini O or Super O and hope that you, Darwin, and other experienced Aneros users can contribute to those definitions.

Great Stuff!

Tripper

GLOSSARY N-Z

next-gen Aneros The second and third generation Aneros models: the Maximus, Helix, Eupho and Progasm.

nipple orgasm An orgasm localized to the nipple and surrounding muscles as a result of directed nipple stimulation. Nipple orgasms have a uniquely wonderful feeling. This is an advanced form of non-ejaculatory orgasm.

nipple stimulation Stroking the nipple or nipples. In the context of the Aneros, nipple stimulation can be very useful as it brings pleasure from the pelvis up into the chest and also takes one's mind off of the pelvis, freeing the Aneros to "do what it wants." Nipple stimulation can include the nipple itself, the areola or the surrounding skin. Because the nipples can become desensitized or over-sensitized, it is best to change stroke or location slightly when the good feeling fades, to find the pleasure again.

nipple training A program of nipple stimulation intended to awaken the nipples as an erogenous epicenter. Men vary widely in how sensitive their nipples are. Through regular (e.g. daily) nipple stimulation even men with unresponsive nipples can find that their nipples become wonderfully alive to stimulation, leading to nipple orgasms as well as pelvic and whole body orgasms.

non-ejaculatory orgasm A male orgasm in which there is no ejaculation and no impulse to ejaculate. This is specifically different than an ejaculatory orgasm in which ejaculation is disrupted to retain the ejaculate (such as by clamping the base of the penis, pulling the scrotum or putting sudden pressure on the perineum). Non-ejaculatory orgasm is analogous to female orgasm in that ejaculation plays no part. Some types of non-ejaculatory orgasms are prostate orgasms, anal orgasms and full body orgasms.

oil-based lube A sexual lubricant made from or containing oils, such as cooking oils, petroleum jelly, waxes and mineral oil. Oil-based lubes disolve some plastics such as latex condoms and the gasket in lube syringes so are not compatible with them. They are particularly well suited to use on exterior parts of the body because, unlike most water-based lubes, they do not dry out and become sticky with air exposure. There is at least some possibility (speculation?) that regular use of oil-based lubes in the rectum could interfere to some extent with the rectum's normal ability to absorb water from the stool.

O-zone Slang for "orgasm zone", ie, being in the state of having chain reaction orgasms.

PC muscle The pubococcygeus muscle, one of a number of muscles in the pelvic floor. It is a hammock-like muscle, found in both sexes, that stretches from the pubic bone to the coccyx (tail bone) forming the floor of the pelvic cavity and supporting the pelvic organs. [wikipedia]. The PC muscle is largely involved in sexual response, contracting during orgasm. Strengthening it leads to longer stronger orgasms.

Pelvexiser M A product designed to offer progressive resistance and biofeedback for kegel exercises. The only PC exerciser available for men (note the "M"). Its use may significantly improve your PC muscle tone, more than doing kegels without the exerciser.

pelvic floor muscles The set of muscles that span the area beneath the pelvis, supporting the pelvic organs.

pelvic motion Rhythmic motion of the pelvis, either voluntary or involuntary that helps drive the motion of the Aneros.

penis stimulation Stroking, sucking or copulating the penis. In the context of the Aneros penis stimulation is often counter-productive as it will likely overwhelm the subtle pleasures produced in the perineum, anus, rectum and prostate and lead towards ejaculatory orgasm and away from non-ejaculatory orgasm.

penis trigger An acupressure spot on the penis that significantly augments pelvic pleasure, possibly leading to non-ejaculatory orgasm. The trigger spot is on the underside of the penis, one to two inches up from the scrotum. It is likely on the center ridge or just off-center. To find it, wait until you are aroused (not necessarily erect), and press gently in that region. The trigger spot will cause a subtle tingling from the head of the penis, through the shaft, testicles and anus, up into the rectum (similar to the perineum sweet spot). To stimulate the penis trigger press very gently on it. Do not stroke or otherwise engage in standard penis stimulation.

perineum The area between the scrotum and anus. The perineum provides external access to the prostate and a pudendal nerve acupressure spot.

physical arousal Sexual arousal induced by physical stimulation or expressed by physical changes such as erect penis, erect nipples, swollen prostate, pre-cum secretions, salivation, heart rate increase, breath shortening, vocalization or muscular contractions.

pleasure wave A feeling of sexual excitement and pleasure that sweeps over the body, usually starting in the pelvic area. It might be traditionally thought of as the feeling of sexual electricity on the first touch of a longed for lover. As a body becomes more sensitized to arousal amplification, pleasure waves become more common and can be produced by the Aneros or by other arousal amplification techniques. They may be faint or strong.

pre-cum The secretion of the Cowper's Gland in response to sexual arousal. Men have wide variability in the amount of pre-cum they secrete in different circumstances. Aneros use often leads to pre-cum secretions that are significantly more in volume than one's typical.

pre-ejac orgasm A non-ejaculatory orgasm that occurs in anticipation of an ejaculatory orgasm, such as in anticipation of or during sexual intercourse.

prelubrication Applying lubrication directly into the rectum prior to inserting the Aneros (see internal lubrication).

Prostate Cradle A product that, like the Aneros, offers body motion driven prostate massage, but is used externally (by sitting or lying on the cradle). It stimulates the same acupressure spots as the P-tab and the Progasm's K-tab. An excellent adjunct to the Aneros.

prostate massage Massage of the prostate typically through the rectum, but also through the perinieum, either for therapeutic or sexual purposes. Prostate massage has a long history as a treatment for prostatitis and in Eastern traditions as a sensual and sexual indulgence. The Aneros was originally developed to allow men to safely administer their own prostate massage for therapeutic purposes.

prostate orgasm A non-ejaculatory orgasm focused on the prostate. These may be among the most intense orgasms.

prostatitis Inflammation of the prostate.

P-tab Perineum tab. The arm of the Aneros that presses on and stimulates the perineum acupressure point. The stimulation produced by the P-tab is an essential component to the arousal amplification afforded by the Aneros. Lack of proper contact there should be corrected (and is a topic of much discussion on the forum). The next gen Aneros models seem to better stay in active contact.

PSA Prostate specific antigen. A chemical produced in the prostate and measured in the blood as an indication of cellular activity in the prostate. Abnormally high levels of PSA may indicate health concerns such as inflammation or cancer. The PSA measurement may be elevated by use of the Aneros. Ask your doctor for a recommended period of abstention (the Aneros manufacturer suggests a few days to a week).

pudendal nerve a nerve in the pelvic region that innervates the external genitalia of both sexes, as well as sphincters for the bladder and the rectum [wikipedia]. The pudendal nerve is stimulated directly by the Aneros P-tab.

push out See "bearing down"

P-wave Short for pleasure wave.

rectal contraction/squeeze A contraction of the pelvic floor muscles that control the rectum. Rectal contractions can power the motion of the Aneros. They also participate in ejaculatory orgasm and are the focus of anal orgasms. A program of rectal contraction exercises can tone those muscles leading to better control of the Aneros and more intense ejaculatory and anal orgasms.

rectum The final length of the large intestine. The rectal reflex indicates to us our need to move our bowels. The rectum is usually self-cleaning and rarely houses noticeable fecal matter. (Rectal enemas may increase one's level of confidence in cleanliness.) The rectum offers the most direct access to the prostate, and houses a very high density of erotic nerves.

refractory period The period after ejaculation before an erection can be sustained again. Non-ejaculatory orgasm has no refractory period.

rewired Slang for the distinctive changes one's body undergoes through use of the Aneros. In particlar: (1) having one's body become permanently responsive to non-penis stimulation, such as to the prostate, perineum, nipples, anus and rectum; (2) a vivid sense of tingling well-being in the pelvic region, most noticeable when not in sexual situations; (3) an overall increase in sexual sensitivity; (4) an overall improvement in sexual performance, including ejaculatory control and erectile function; (5) increased skill at arousal amplification techniques such as the Aneros, KSMO, the Slightest Touch, and secondary erogenous zone stimulation, among others, so that spontaneous pleasure and non-ejaculatory orgasm become increasingly easy to achieve.

scrotal stretch Manually or otherwise stretching the scrotum from the body. In Aneros use, executing a scrotal stretch by trapping the testicles behind the thighs (with legs bent to the chest) and then straightening the legs can lead to a hands-free ejaculation. A variation on this technique traps the penis as well behind the thigh. The scrotal stretch induced ejaculation is something of a paradox. In traditional advanced sexual practices scrotal stretches are used to suppress an imminent ejaculation (as ejaculations ordinarily require the testicles to be tightly drawn to the body by the cremaster reflex).

session Time spent using the Aneros. Sessions often last an hour and commonly last many.

silencer A device used to quiet the sometimes loud and ongoing vocalizations produced in Aneros sessions, such as cloth in the mouth, or a pillow covering it.

Slightest Touch The trademarked name of an electronic device that stimulates the pudendal nerve producing significant amounts of genital pleasure in both men and women. The Slightest Touch is a transdermal electric nerve stimulation (TENS) unit specifically tuned for pudendal nerve stimulation. (TENS units are more commonly used for physical therapy). The Slightest Touch website (www.slightesttouch.com) markets the device to women who need an arousal boost to acheive orgasm. You must specifically request the instructions for male use at the time of purchase

soft palate nursing An unexpectedly powerful arousal amplifier. Place the back of your tongue on the roof of your mouth and suck with a nursing action.

super-O Super orgasm. An overwhelmingly strong and wonderful non-ejaculatory orgasm that may involve: durations of up to a half minute; full body orgasmic waves of pleasure; intense pleasure throughout the pelvic region, particularly the prostate and rectum and surrounding muscles; loss of a sense of reality; strong emotional responses; long flashes of color; large muscle contractions; strong sense of ejaculation (with none); protracted deep involuntary vocalizations, roars or screams; pleasureful convulsions; pronounced deep or staccato pelvic thrusting or writhing; sense of soulful release and relief; a sense that the body exerted its entirety to reach an apex of pleasure.

super-T Super traditional orgasm. An ejaculatory orgasm from traditional penis stimulation (copulatory, manual or oral) but occurring with the Aneros inserted and having: deep and stronger ejaculatory contractions; more ejaculatory contractions; significantly more ejaculate; other responses similar to those in a super-O.

sweet spot The acupressure point in perineum that the P-tab stimulates. Proper contact with the sweet spot is a very important component of successful Aneros use.

syringe In the Aneros context, either a syringe-like liquid medicine dispenser (typically 5cc and often used for small children) used to deliver lubricant into the rectum; or, a rectal syringe used for to deliver a cleansing enema.

tantric sex

testicle orgasm An orgasm focused on the testicles. This has been reported to result from exercising the cremaster muscles and applying to them the same light contractions that are used in the anal sphincter to drive the Aneros.

training The process of the body learning how, through use, to respond to the Aneros and control it. This may be a short or protracted period. It involves increasing muscular strength and control over the Aneros, and increasing neural sensitivity to the pleasure offered. It is not uncommon for some Aneros motion that originally did not feel pleasurable (and perhaps felt irritating) to evolve, through training, to be felt as extremely pleasurable.

valley breathing Breathing deeply so as to feel an expansion of your abdomen and particularly your pelvic floor. This kind of breathing can significantly amplify arousal.

visualization A form of mental arousal that entails visually imagining some erotic explanation for the Aneros stimulation, such as a white light glowing, a partner's finger, the tip of the Aneros, your own (eleventh) finger, a penis, a strap-on penis, etc.

wired See "rewired."
