Hi,

It's my first time trying this out.  I've read through the wiki and beginners sections and i don't think i found the exact answer to this so i just wanted to ask.  I apologise if i did infact miss this.

I have been using the helix syn trident and just wondering can you push it in too far?  From the 3 bulb like sections on it, it naturally slides into place with the anus sitting between bulb 2 and 3, but it does also feel good to push it further - so the join of the tbar sits right against the anus.  My question is, is that actually bad to do and really over inserting it?  While it felt good at the time, there was a little soreness today but again i don't know if this is because I am new.  Is it bad to push it all the way or is it supposed to sit just above that last bulb?

My other question is that i think i read somewhere that some of the more rigid aneros products can cause too much pressure on the prostate if used in a sitting position.  I can't remember where i saw that.  But i'm wondering about using it whilst having sex with my wife, and while the helix syn trident is a bit softer overall, are there any positions that should be avoided, where excess pressure or weight might cause injury?  Or is it pretty safe to just go with it?  🙂

Thanks so much

First off welcome to the forum.

Yes, is is desigigned to go in right to the crossbar. 'm impressed you had such a good reaction only going in thus far.

No, do not sit on it for 2 reasons, the device needs to be able to move, and you can hurt yourself by sitting on it as it puts to much pressure inside.

Yes  you can wear it and have sex. However you should work on trying to do what aneros are designed for. I suggest you educate yourself more, reading around this forum. You have just been introduced to a hole new world of sex. Even better if you and your wife get on the bus together. Its an eye opening journey, for both of you.

Thanks for the info, good to know.  And yes agree i do need to go through it more, just excited by the possibilities, but definitely will take the time to explore the forums more first.

Thanks again

Hi @robroyale and welcome to the Aneros forums. I commend you for reading the Aneros WIKI as that is a great place to get started.

I am in disagreement with @Tbob on this topic. What you found upon original insertion is exactly how the Helix was designed to rest with your anal sphincter squeezing the area between the 2nd & 3rd bulge from the top (please see the thread Introductory Message to New Members which discusses this very topic and illustrates the position). Even if you push the Helix all the way to the 'Tee' junction it will most likely back itself out with your muscular contractions. I won't say it is "bad" to do this but it is not the way it was designed to rest. As far as the soreness goes that is most likely just your body reacting to this new exercise regime, it will likely abate with regular use as your body becomes enured to these sensations.

These devices are designed to move freely powered only by your pelvic floor muscles, thus using while sitting restricts their potential movement and could exert undue pressure which may cause soreness and bruising of your prostate. Some men have found a workaround for this by utilizing a donut cushion to sit on whilst riding their Aneros models, this allows the Aneros to move without being restricted by a hard seat which restricts movement. As far as using it while having sex with your wife there should be no problem doing this at all.

Good Vibes to You!

I agree with Rumel, I was under the impression you were inserting just the the first bump. Should have read it bettwr. However  as Rumel said it will back itself off on its own even should you push to the T juntion. At least that has been my exp.\
