Why no 'release' and satisfaction through dry orgasm?

Here are some of the differences I feel. While there are no check-off lists I'd hazard that I'm about 80-90% rewired. Perhaps this might help

1- My off the shelf orgasmic variations seldom trigger strong cycling pelvic and anal muscle contractions and seldom do I have any cycling contractions of the smooth muscles that run along my genital plumbing (vas, vesicles etc.).. Usually I do get some cycling/pulsing in my prostate and perineum but not in the intensity that is present during a wet O. (Also this prostate pulsing cycles with my heartbeat.) Other than precum, I move very little fluid through my urethra. This hasn't changed much in the four years I've been having prostate triggered dry-Os.

2. I do skin flush and sweat about the same during either a dry-O or a wet-O. Surprising because I'm far more active (for an old guy) during sex than I am during the more gradual arousal path of an Aneros session. I usually treasure "stillness" over activity.

3. I experience far more brain and sensory response and there's a wide variation in what I feel emotionally. I sometimes (during rare intense-O events) have "stars and fireworks" like my wife gets when in well stimulated, step-by-step, slo-build orgasm. This and the occasional spiritual feeling, for me, is worth trading off all the urethra rush of ejaculation (which I can get on five minutes notice after an Aneros session.)

4. Rarely a dry-O gets misrouted and sends some faint signals to my pelvic musculature and to my genital plumbing giving me the hint of a wet-O along with some nice dry-O action. (nip action at that point usually causes a streaming release of semen. I guess we could call that a Hands Free Hybrid Orgasm or a Hands Off Hybrid Orgasm. Just a HOHO.

I suppose what I'm asking is why when we ejaculate, other than the release of semen, do we feel that sense of fulfilled energy release and calming sense of satisfaction? With a dry o you get the release of energy but it continues into more dry orgasms, it's different. This isn't about intensity but rather about why ejaculation coupled with the orgasm that we have with it, results in the refractory period and sense that we are 'finished' and/or satisfied. The Prostate maybe empties it's liquids and somehow makes us feel done?

From my reading and understanding of certain complex neurotransmitters, the hormone prolactin is largely responsible for the effect you describe. This effect is the typical male refractory period following an ejaculatory orgasm (see Orgasm-induced prolactin secretion: feedback control of sexual drive?). From all the anecdotal testimonies in this forum alone, It seems prostate based, dry orgasms do not trigger the release of prolactin in the same amounts (if at all). Hence, the sense of "release" is not induced and the ability to continue to experience multiple sequential dry orgasms is unabated.

Thanks @rumel that seems to answer things. however i wonder now if there is some chemical release going on in my sessions, see my latest comment on this thread whereby after i achieve a dry orgasm (or possibly a prostate orgasm with no ejaculation) that i get this satisfaction/release or as i put it "a massive drop in arousal" after only 10 mins in session.
