I use a condom over my aneros, so the slicone shouldn't hurt the toy, is this correct? Also, I know silicone is harder to clean up than water based, so after use, is it ok that a film of silicone lube is probably staying in the anal canal? Last question, if the silicone lube would hurt a silicone toy, then wouldn't the silicone lube also hurt the condom? Most condoms are actually lubed with silicone.
Thanks.
As there is a barrier between the condom and lube, assuming the condom you choose is water based lubed already it won't hurt the condom unless the condom breaks. Any residual lube that gets outside of the anal canal can run off on to the exposed part of the toy externally which will ruin the toy if sensitive to the silicon lube you apply such as on the syn p-tab or tail. I have never spot tested silicon lube on the syn but It won't hurt the classic models and u shouldn't switch to the syn afterward probably for 72 hours just to be sure you cleared it out. 72 hours would be only my opinion. This has not been tested as far as I know. Just a number I am safe with after I have used silicon lube with classic before insertion of syn
Majority of condoms are latex and silicon is safe with latex. Oil based is not as that will break down latex. Silicon toys are oil and water safe.
The condoms made of natural barrier like lamb intestine is likely safe with all lubes as would the polyethylene condoms that feel like a garbage bag.
I've been using a prelube of albolene lately and water based lube on the toy. Condom method didn't work very well for me but may be easier for someone else
Ok so I tried the condom method again tonight. I used a durex extra sensitive condom. I filled a lube injector with 4 ml of water base lube, the intimate organics hydra organic lube. It isn't sticky or gooey. If I used another line it would be the ky liquid, not the gel. Too gummy. I rolled a condom down the length of the helix syn only, no further. Then I lined the outside of the injector and put it in the condom. I rolled it around until it was slick and slippery then lubed the outside if the condom with lube and spit and fed the covered injector in with circular motions until it was all the way. I plunged a part of lube in and made more circular motions as I pulled it out and did it again until the plunger came out and left the condom in. I then lightly lined my helix syn with the same lube and fed that into the condom and used the circular motions to gingerly open me up and slid in nicely while in a kneeling position. Rolled it around a few times for comfort and coating to make sure lube didn't get pushed to the reservoir of the condom. And it's riding fabulously! The toy is moving as if I just freshly put it in and that was an hour ago.
Wow, after reading my own question today, it appears my wording is leading answers in the wrong direction, at least somewhat. My biggest concern was the fact that a little bit of silicone lube would be left in the anal canal. Is that safe? I already established that it's safe for the condom, now wondering if that slicone film in the canal is ok?
According to the experts the silicon does not get absorbed into the blood but stays in the colon firstly. Second the silicon is bacteriostatic. It has no sugar and will not contribute to culturing any bacteria. Thirdly many people have been using it with regular anal intercourse for over 30 years without a seeming epidemic. It will eventual be scrubed and expelled out of your body with movements. It is paraben and phthalate free, will not mimic estrogen in the body, stay lubricated an extra length of time; but it can will stain your sheets. So lay down a towel.
That's what I was looking for. Thanks yankeecowboy!!
I think you should be very leery of putting silicone up your ass. You should also be leery of statements like "it doesn't get absorbed" "has been deemed safe." Teflon coated pans and other cooking utensils have been sold for years as safe and great enhancements to our lives. The reality is that Teflon is actually toxic to humans.... go figure! Same goes for silicone lube. Here is a product, that while yes is very slippery, has likely NOT been really tested to the point that anyone can legitimately claim it's safe. I know you're interested in using a condom with your Aneros, but might I suggest you save yourself the money and the hassle of injecting lube and preparing condoms etc. Just get yourself some coconut oil and be done with it. Just put a chunk of cold oil into your but, lightly coat the aneros with some oil..insert...orgasm....repeat if necessary.
Got to agree with waverider. If it is safe to eat then it is safe to put up your ass. Also great lubricant. Coconut oil the way to go.
a ton of studies had been done when silicone breast implants leaked or failed years ago. They were never able to find any health related problems from the silicone. So I would be on the side that its completely safe especially since whatever is left over will eventually be removed with a bowel movement. While I agree coconut oil is a great lubricant I have never had better movement with my aneros devices then when it was used with silicone lubricants. Its hands down the best IMO.
You could listen to these guys. Or perhaps take the best of both worlds and buy boy butter :-c
It's a blend of coconut oil and plant derived organic silicone!
How's that for a marriage!
Shoot, now I'm scared to use it. Oh well, back to the water base.
You said you never spot tested the syn with silicone. I've used one with Swiss navy silicone lube enough times that it's actually caused a little separation from the hard plastic p tab. If there is interest, I could upload an image or 2 for "science."
