Hi All!

I’m very new to this and before reading the forums I purchased the vice 2 which looked awesome to me lol.

I haven’t seen much in terms of it being mentioned in the posts , so I wanted to know if it’s a good place to start.

Although the Super-O is a goal, some p waves would be incredible as a short term benefit.  Has anyone used this as a primary , or should I consider adding a second to begin with.

thanks!

Vice 1 was my first purchase, It's quite big, and vibes may numb every feels you may have.

Idem with the vice 2, try to enjoy it without vibes first, my modest contrib. Peridise or tempo were, by far, my best surprise. M.

First, I'd like to welcome you to the Aneros Forums and invite you to read read my Introductory Message to New Members which has a few hints and tips to facilitate your learning journey with the Aneros.

There are a couple of reasons you probably haven't read much about the VICE 2. First, it is the most expensive Aneros model, as such fewer of them have been sold and therefore fewer of them have been reviewed by members. Second, It is one of the 'girthier' Aneros models and may be uncomfortable for anal newbies to use. Thirdly, for the same reason as #2, it is not as mobile as any of the Trident (standard or SYN) models to learn with. Fourth, there are pros and cons when it comes to vibrating massagers with some men loving the effects and some men finding the vibrations a distraction. This becomes an individual subjective judgment. IMHO, that model is not one I would normally recommend to newbie users but is one I would recommend for experienced users wishing to add novelty to their Anerosessions.

... should I consider adding a second to begin with.

In regards to choosing another Aneros model, I recommend that you read the following : The Best Aneros model is... for a couple of my suggestions. I am of the opinion it is better to learn about and attune to your body's responses with a less formidable model before slamming yourself with intense vibrations which may overpower your own feedback responses.

Good Vibes to You!

I recommend buying a helix syn, and forgetting  about the vice for a few months as you learn to have prostate orgasms with a non-vibrating toy. The vibrations will likely be a distraction to higher prostate pleasure, at least in the beginning. My first prostate toy was the outrageously expensive vibrating lelo Hugo, which didn’t help me with rewiring, though it did feel nice. However, what a lot of us are looking for are transcendental mind-warping orgasms, not just nice feelings.

Hi All,

Thank you so much for the guidance. I believe I’ll be ordering the Syn as well.

One more question though, if you have a moment.

I came upon aneros while researching ideas to support the semen retention practice I started a few months ago.   I was under the impression that a prostate orgasm would provide a nice release but the sperm wouldn’t be involved.

ive read mixed ideas about this , but that’s what originally led me to the vibrating model (before I knew the super o existed or anything other than the prostate orgasm I was reading about elsewhere.

Are there any threads that focus specifically on semen retention and the tantra and taoist idea of holding the sperm etc ?

I guess what I’m saying is , if I have a prostate orgasm (wet)  does it jive with these ideas or is the dry and/or super o path what best supports this practice.

Thank you !

Hi @jg104900 and welcome to the forum. IMHO one most outstanding book to recommend on semen retention, tantra and taoist ideas is „Multi-Orgasmic Man“ by Mantak Chia. I myself couldn‘t have done more for my journey than to finish the whole book thoroughly*, then read it again and only then finally follow the advices. It‘s still a mine of information although my journey is already lasting more than 4 years.

*Even if you can‘t wait to start with practicing, at least read the warnings from page 36 and the following first, please.

Cautions

... and you need to make sure you follow a few safety tips.

NEVER LEAVE SEXUAL ENERGY IN THE BRAIN FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME

Remember to touch your tongue to your palate to allow this energy to come down through the Front Channel to the navel, where it can be safely stored. In the past, many teachers of Eastern sexuality taught students how to draw energy up to their brain without teaching them how to bring it back down again. This resulted in what has been call the Kundalini syndrome. The Taoists knew the importance of completing the circle. Anytime you feel like you have too much energy, inhale to your abdomen, and as your exhale, bring the energy all the way down to your toes and the soles of your feet (...).

MAKE SURE YOU ARE FEELING BALANCED

Remember that the sexual energy you will be circulating through your body will amplify any emotions you are feeling. Michael Winn explains: "The most important thing is to first try to clear out your emotional extremes and avoid practicing when your are feeling extreme anger or extreme anything." You should also avoid practicing if you are too tired. If you have a medical condition, you should speak with a Heading Tao instructor before you begin this practice.

From „Multi-Orgasmic Man“ by Mantak Chia

Good vibes! Mart

Yes, there are a number of threads which specifically address semen retention. Here are a few -> Aneros, Arousal Abstinence/Semen Retention, 21 day challenge post, Asking for Information on Orgasms and Semen Retention, Semen Retention, Semen retention benefits: arousal & Question on SR. You can use the search function to find even more.

In addition to @SOwithoutAneros suggestion to read Mantak Chia's The Multi-Orgasmic Man you may find the Automatic tantra? thread interesting.

If you are intending to practice semen retention and you inadvertently experience an ejaculation due to prostate massage, I don't think that negates your intent. There are a few threads which discuss means to avoid such events, please see How to avoid ejaculation?, How to avoid handsfree wet orgasms , Avoiding ejaculation during orgasm? , Hands free ejaculation being an obstacle & Cumming while lying face down.

Rumel  - Thank you for this wonderful information.

Last question for now (please lol) :  Best Lube in your experiences? Could you make one or two specific recommendations ?

Water based seems to get dry very quickly.

Thanks!

Best Lube in your experiences?

There have been a continuing discussions on the Forum about lubrication types and issues. Next to discussions about the Super-O, lubrication is another frequently discussed topic. I recommend you first read the Lubrication paragraph in the Getting Started chapter of the Aneros WIKI and then read through the Bestlube..., Need Help with lube choice, coconut oil, Coconut Oil and Unrefined shea butter..., threads for additional information and insight into this topic.

Most commercially prepared, water based personal lubricants contain glycerin which has laxative effects and depending on the sensitivity of the individual, may cause the dreaded "urge to purge" syndrome cutting short one's Anerosession. Additionally, glycerin when synthesized by the body may lead to elevated triglyceride levels in the blood. However, other individuals seem to be unaffected by the small amounts of glycerin in these lubricants. In any event, glycerin (whether naturally or synthetically derived) is but one of many chemical constituents in these lubes.

As far as I know there have been no long term studies of the health effects of commercially prepared or natural personal lubricants. Because of the frequency and duration of Anerosessions the use of commercial personal lubricants has become a subject of concern for a number of Forum members due to the repeated exposure to the chemical constituents contained in these products and their long term health effects. Many members have chosen to seek out more natural lubricants in hopes of ameliorating any long term negative effects.

There are many choices for natural lubrication, it is more a matter of personal preference which particular lube you choose to use. Olive, coconut, walnut and almond oils are all popular alternative natural lube choices, shea butter is another popular natural lubricant. These natural lubricants do not contain glycerin. The rectal wall is a highly permeable membrane, easily absorbing water and the chemicals therein. While natural oil lubes do get absorbed like water based lubes, the absorption rate is slower and as the viscosity of the oil increases, the absorption rate decreases. Hence lighter weight (low viscosity) oils like grape seed and olive oil will be more readily absorbed and disperse more rapidly than heavier oils (higher viscosity) like almond oil or canola oil.

Personally, I am concerned about the uptake of the various chemicals in commercial 'personal lubricants'. Since I've developed a sensitivity to the glycerin found in many of the commercial lubricants, I've switched to using natural oil based lubricants such as a 50%-50% mixture of almond oil and shea butter or a 67% coconut oil - 33% shea butter mixture or the 'Natural Jelly' formulation. These compounds are safe for use with both the plastic and silicone Aneros models. I find these natural lubes are both long lasting and of sufficient lubricity to not hinder desired Aneros movement for long Anerosessions. As a side note, the 'Natural Jelly' formulation is very tenacious in its adherence to your massager.

Thank you!

I went ahead and made some of the Natural Jelly, and it's now in the refrigerator.

So in terms of actually using it, if I take it out and it's cold, do I use it as is? Or warm it up a bit? Lol I have never tried petroleum Jelly so this Jelly idea is certainly new to me.

Thanks as always.

It is totally your personal preference. The cold lube will be pretty stiff but once it warms up to body temperature will be more viscous. Temperature play with sex toys may have its own appeal, especially in BDSM scenes. I'd suggest you try using it at a variety of temperatures, cold, room temperature or heated (careful - not too hot!). Be adventurous and find your preferred temperature range. The temperature effect won't last long once it warms to body temp.

The RED spot is on the P-Tab, the WHITE spot is on the K-Tab. Yes, you can walk around with any of the Aneros models but you may have difficulty retaining them depending on your anal sphincter muscle strength and endurance. This might be especially difficult for a well lubed TEMPO ! What constitutes a "...prolonged period..." ? I don't recommend anyone over use their massager to a point where you are creating discomfort or disruption to your normal living patterns. If that occurs as a result of "...prolonged periods..." of use then I'd definitely discourage that. How you integrate Aneros use into your life is an individual choice, it is your body and it should be your choice how you manage it.

Good Vibes to You!
