I'm sure there have been posts about this before, and if this is repetitive i apologize. I bought the aneros and have played with it for a good amount of time. I layed there, did deep breathing, relaxing, and have gotten some involuntary contractions but no real sensations that i would call orgasmic by any means. Should i use an enema to cleanse, certain type of lube, or maybe the toy doesn't hit the spot right, I don't know. Any suggestions would be a great help.

Sounds like you have the warm-up under control.

Should i use an enema to cleanse,

An enema can help somewhat, should there be evidence that your rectum wasn't clean during the session.

certain type of lube,

Hmm, switching lube usually helps, if there's discomfort from friction or chemical irritation.

or maybe the toy doesn't hit the spot right

This is a common feeling, and I still think it's widely a misconception. I think there's two things you should try/check:

1) Mental arousal. Although an Aneros session can be entertaining for me with a clear mind, I've noticed that fantasizing reinforces the sensations considerably. Whatever gives you an erection without manual stimulation is worth thinking.

2) Gentle, sustained tension. The trick is to coax, not overpower the involuntaries. Explained to a degree in this thread.
