The below described bug was promptly resolved by the admin team...

Looking at the forum right now, I saw a user named @simone.bianchi took over my old account. All of my old posts from the other forum are in his name. I don’t know if it is an error or a hack. Can the aneros team fix this? I don’t like the idea of someone having access to my old account information, possibly private messages, etc.

My old account was divine_oblivion and when I tried to revive it after the transfer to the new forum, it didn’t work, and no one on the server team responded to my messages. I didn’t care, but seeing that someone else has now “revived” my account is a) creepy b) frustrating c) doesn’t give me faith in the security of this server, whether it was an aleatory glitch or an intentional act...

@ggringo I saw old posts with that user and they have my image as an avatar, which is wierd because a friend drew it for me. Then I read the posts and saw that they are my old posts. Look in the vagus nerve orgasm link below. Those are all my posts from 1.5 years ago. And my avatar.

Note that user joined 6/22/2020 and those posts (my old posts) are well before that...

Dear @divine_o

Exactly the same problem happened to my pre-"2019-migration"-posts ...rather strange, indeed.

I emailed and asked help from websupport@aneros.com the problem fixed.

I suggest that you contact websupport@aneros.com

Best regards,   Gulliver Plus

@divine_oblivion this was a bug as part of the migration it looks like where some posts were incorrectly associated when they were moved over.  We will migrate all those posts back to you.

Thank you for your replies. It seems @admin-aneros is on it. I will be in touch directly with y’all for future issues related to this, if necessary, and in the meantime I hope the fix works.!.!.!

@admin-aneros thank you for the quick fix! As far as I can tell and after a brief search, my old posts are now attributed to me (and most importantly, not to another user who hopefully doesn’t have access to my personal info). And thanks for an otherwise excellent forum!

This is fast!

Earlier, it took about 2 weeks to get my old "pre-migration" posts back.

Good for you!
