Hello,
I just received my first Aneros product, a Progasm. I had ordered the classic, but was sent an Ice by mistake. From my reading, it seems like the dimensions of the Ice are listed as smaller than the classic, and user experiences I have read seem to agree. However, the Aneros wiki indicates they are the same size. Can anyone clear this up for me?
I know the Ice is made of a slicker plastic, which may give less robust sensations. If they are in fact the same size, I may keep the Ice, and texture it later, but if the Ice is smaller, I'm going to go through the trouble of returning it. I would be grateful for anyone who has both to let me know if there is a difference in size, and if they like one more than the other.
Although this will be my first Aneros experience, I am no stranger to prostate stimulation, and I want the strongest massage I can get!
Thanks!
Hi @SomeJerk, I believe without the Jr. the members of the Progasm Family all must be of the same size,
as every version is described as "Largest Aneros model" in the Specs.
Specs of Progasm Family: Classic - "Largest Aneros Model", Ice - "Largest Aneros Model",
Black Ice - "Largest Aneros Model", Red Ice - "Largest Aneros Model"
Jr. - "[...] its size relative to Progasm is the only thing "Junior" about it [...]"
Nevertheless there are some mistakes in the indications of size,
(all Screenshots taken from aneros.com)
as never ever Classic and Jr. are of exactly the same size,
and never ever their tip width ist nearly double the size of the mid ridge.
That even would not match with the drawings.
Some man may have focused on his chairgasm while typing,
So, there is no reason left not to unbox your Ice at once and go for a ride. Good vibes! I love this toy, enjoy!
I have the Ice version too and can tell, it's the pick of the bunch and IT IS BIG enough and will rape you wildly! 😉
But take care as it is quite slippery when wet. I did shoot mine all through the bathroom, but only the first time.
And finally become one with your Prostate! Cause ...
We are Prostate. Resistance is futile!
.
For size comparison: Nexus G-Rider, Progasm Ice, Helix Syn, Eupho Syn, Tempo.

Thanks for the response! So the listed dimensions of the Classic's tip being 1 15/16ths vs Ice's 3/4 inch tip is just a typo?
I was really hoping for a classic due to the grippiness of the material, but I couldn't find one. They all seem to be Ice at this point. If they are indeed the same size, I'll probably give it it's maiden run tonight!
Does anyone ever texture theirs with a brillo pad to give it more grip?
I heard the Classic does feel little bigger then ICE too. From fellow chatters been told if looking for texture the Ivory version is the best. I only have ICE in my stable and love it. No problem with grip, just make sure to build up muscles through kegels so can hold it tight and drive it hard!
I've got a helix syn and the progasm ice and my preference is for the ice over the helix, i can feel the ice on my prostate better and i like the way it fills me up better, its just a personal preference, the only thing i don't like on the ice is the second tab, the p tab is fine but other tab digs in if i sit on it and sometimes i like to sit more upright, though i've fallen asleep with it in, so its not that bad.
Unfortunately Progasm Ivory is not being currently manufactured. An Aneros customer representative told me this about three/four months ago. Progasm ICE's distinguishing feature is its sleekness. I had to develop my anal musculature to use it effectively, because it would often slip out. But I like Progasm Classic the best because of its rugged traction! 🙂
@SomeJerk, now did ya? Give it it's maiden run tonight? 😀
@SomeJerk, now did ya ...
[...]give it its maiden run tonight[...]
??? 😀
The Ice is made from a much more durable material than the Classic or Ivory.
First time was pretty good. I've always had a hard time giving myself an effective prostate massage. Someone else's nimble fingers are hard to beat.
As I work on getting used to the Progasm, and build kegel strength, I'm sure the effects will be more pronounced.
My Progasm stable, in order of vintage, consists of a Black Classic (2010 modified down to about the size of the ProJr. and 'decorated' with electrically conductive foil), a Red Classic (2011, unmodified), Clear ICE (2013, unmodified), and an Ivory (2015, out of use because of a failed p-tab). I've not found a Progasm Classic molded from the Acetal material.
All of these Progasm tools are identical in their dimensions and the Identification markings molded into the Abutment fin. I failed to measure the weight of each when they were new so have no clue as to the mass of these Prograsm variants. My ProJr (black ICE surface) was purchased when that product was first advertised as 80% the size of the standard Program.
I find that the feel and mobility of Progasm is more dependent on which lube or lube combination I'm using duriing a session. That 'feel' varies from sensations where the Progasm seems stationary and my Anal Canal and Rectal surfaces are sliding over it. At the other extreme the Progam seems to slide about inside me.
If you are new to Progasm, read over the older Wiki pages on the 'scoop maneuver' to insert the Progasm. I find my Progasm sessions are best when I insert the Progasm, allow 5 minutes to relax and for the tool to reach body temperature, then remove it and re-insert it.
I find that the amount of waste or bloat in my lower GI tract affects Progasm session quality and tends to make KSMO better suited to smaller toys.
