When I 1st bought the sgx I had some good feelings with it. At times it felt like it was building towards something, but never truly went anywhere. I have varied up my sessions using it every other day, every day to only a couple times a week. I have gone from 2-3 hrs sessions to only 1 hr sessions. I have tried the do nothing method, the active method of contracting, and have even masturbated to ejaculation with it in me. I have had the aneros almost a year. I have used varied lube such water based lube to extra virgin olive oil. I try to watch porn or look at hot pics of women beforehand to prep. The past 2-3 months progress has gone backwards. I don't feel much of anything during the sessions. I wonder if the sgx isn't for me and another model might be better. I got the sgx as I'm under 5'6", but think a different model might provide different sensations. Just wanna jump start the progress again, any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Keep going...it took my 1 1/2 years and it was worth every minute.
Feeling like it may never happen. I feel like if I stop trying though I'm gonna miss out for sure, that's the only thing that keeps me going. May get another model just to try it, possibly the Helix or the Maximus
Keep going, man! Don't give up.
Many people say the Helix is good, but it doesn't seem good for everyone. So maybe the same thing happened with the SGX and you.
I've read things on the forum and on the wiki that say:
- worrying, and frustrating, and getting annoyed or angry is likely to stop your progress. You need to make sure you don't have these negative feelings, and be 'at peace' with yourself. Seems many times, anxiety intereferes, so don't worry about your sudden lack of progress.
- some men reported that they had really great sessions, and then nothing for a few weeks / months. Then after a while, the great sessions returned. This seems like it could just be a normal part of rewiring. And this suggests that you could take a break of a few weeks. Maybe next time you have a session, things will be good again.
- Certainly do try a different model, but if you do, please keep in mind that you might not experience anything with that model (at all, or for a long time). I speak from experience here with my use of the Prograsm - bought it, not felt anything with it for about 9 months, and now I use it and feel good things. Maybe it's part of the normal rewiring process, who knows....
Good advice from @lonewolf8. Totally agree it could be part of normal rewiring, and that taking a break can work wonders.
Remember it's all a mental process and 'sexual feelings trump all' or something like that (can't remember the exact quote), so don't let yourself get frustrated or down about it, and use your brain to build the feelings don't rely just on contractions or anything else if that makes sense - there are some great posts on that aspect of it if you look around.
Don't give up.
