Yes, there are lots of opinions and personal preferences, lubrication is probably the most discussed topic on the Forum. With regards to lubrication, my bascic recommendation is that it is better to use too much than too little. As you gain more experience with your body's reactions to the lube you will be able to cut back on the amount necessary for a comfortable session. I recommend you read the Lubrication section of the WIKI for some helpful information. IMHO, as long as the lubrication is sufficiently doing its job and is not harmful then it is OK, one can discuss the nuances of viscosity, slickness, longevity of action, etc. but these are all highly subject to personal preferences as evidenced by the discussions on the Forum.

Welcome to the Aneros forum. 🙂

What will work best for you for lube is pretty individual to each person. And you'll probably continue to read all kinds of opinions about it here. You just have to try something and see how it works. My preference is 100% unrefined shea butter. But there are quite a number of guys here that like all sorts of different lubes for their Aneros sessions. Try doing a forum search for the term "lube". You will get lots of results.
