I don't see it talked about to much on these forums, but off the forums probably the biggest complaint about the aneros is the arms digging into the skin and causing discomfort.  I've seen some posters ask why they don't have the balls from the progasm on all the other models.  These are good ideas.

Here is an idea of mine.  The syn is a good idea, but it reminds me of the three bears story.  The Syn is to flexible, while the plastic is inflexible, and digs in.  why not try a model that has the stiffer arms with the progasm balls, with a silicone coating?  So you have the firmness, but with a more gentle touch.  I think this could be the best of both worlds.

I am curious how old the posts are? I didn't realize biting in was an issue since the made the syn and trident models. I remember talk about this 15 years ago, and I have experienced "the rub" with my old original MGX. It got so crazy with that model that I rubbed a blood blister up and it broke...scared me a little and got plenty sore for a while, but I haven't had that problem with either my original helix or any trident style or syn models.

Seems like they have design down to a fine art at Aneros these days.

The one I read recently was from someone who was using the Maximus Trident.  They are better than they were, but I personally still find them to narrow.  I'd prefer something more spherical like a small marble.
