Of course !  I want to crack this, so I need to understand what is happening. Plus my brain is un-shutdownable under normal circumstances.

Overthinking won't prevent Super-Os, as long as you're overthinking about the right stuff. Part of my orgasm is simply my brain slowing down and getting complete focus on the pleasure. And even when I'm there, I want to explore and try stuff. It's a double-edged sword for sure...

Thanks ! It should be downhill, or it would be if I could stop thinking, but right now there's still data to collect, and I'm trying some new stuff.  I'm not in any hurry, I know it will happen at some point.

Great news fella.  Congrats.

CFO's are the new HFO's, heh heh.

^ Chemical Free Orgasms.

Thanks ! I hope I can find some answers in the contrast between CFO's and the THC ones. What I'm piecing together is what THC was doing to make things so much easier, and also, how it managed to block the way to calm seas for me. Now those calm seas Os are what I'm seeking, and it seems that THC is in the way, so it had to go...

Lowering anxiety barriers, lowering the agility of the thinking mind, lowering the gates of terror.
Putting your thc journey up against my own ‘purist’ journey,I couldn’t lower these barriers until I was ready and it took time gain the experience necessary to do so. An easy example is times I was almost there, and then I’d start thinking out of nowhere, omg is this it,am I gonna super o? Then the session would go down. Or maybe if I had something outside the session that was on my mind. Obstacles probably stop most ppl at calm seas. Thc no doubt let’s you breeze past usual obstacles. It’s a cheat code really, and now you’re playing the game on hard mode. You’ll still win,you just gotta put more work in.

This was supposed to be a bit of a non-THC thread but I guess it will follow me around for a while, hehe. We talked about this earlier, I think cannabis will help different people in different ways. There was an Huberman Lab podcast explaining how for some people it will absolutely increase libido, and won't have this effect for others, same thing with paranoia, panic or other effects. So it's very hard to say what particular effects THC will have (or not) on someone's journey. I'd wager that for me, most of the success came from very strong arousal effects, another guy might find huge relaxation benefits, for some others it could be both. Some people will have mostly bad side effects and little benefits.

I don't know if I would call this cheating or a cheat code, ethically there is no "doping" in Super-O seeking, and I don't think binaural beats or porn or vibrations are cheating, either. Basically for some people, like me, the side-effects outside of sessions are just not worth it, no matter how good the sessions get. I'm also seeing that going from THC sessions to sober ones is really not that easy, and it's hardly about just waiting to detox. It plays on your expectations, amount of work you're willing to put into a session, what you will call a successful session...

Any added risk of triggering Kundalini syndrome or psychosis might be something to consider, too. There is non-zero chance of this happening, but maybe it won't be on most people's radar, or maybe it's so rare that it hardly matters. I would be more worried about the risk of making any sober sessions worse, and getting stuck in that loop of being unable to appreciate whatever you get because it scales so badly against what you got with THC.  I think I had to wait a bit and forget how the THC Os felt, so I can get back and concentrate on what I'm actually getting now. Which should be just as good, but for me requires more discipline and good habits, both of which could be bypassed with a little weed. I often go back and forth, asking myself if trying weed for Super-Os was the smartest or dumbest thing I ever did.

Great to see you have made progress without THC.

This is a great step, as knowing the pleasure from a super O with THC to a regular session is 10 fold.

To anyone who has not tried it I would describe it is

Non THC: ok I'll now contract to try and get some pleasure on the prostate.

THC: jeez I better reverse contract to get this aneros off my prostate as the pleasure is already too much.

Just outlining how great it is to see you have made progress after going sober. Keep at it.

Thank you for your encouragement.

During the worst of it, I was scared of what would happen if I used an Aneros during my session, and I would hardly even touch myself because the feelings were too strong. It went from better to worse pretty quickly. But I get what you're saying, when it works, it really works.

From my experience it's *very* strain dependent. Some people will argue that the genetics are so mixed-up that there's little difference between an Indica, a Sativa or an hybrid and that it's "whatever the grower decides to put on the label". At first I believed this, so I did not write down all the strains I tried, and I threw away all my receipts after a while (horribly bad bookkeeping, research wise...)

I remember trying some top-shelf stuff and being extremely disappointed, while at the same time, the cheapest available product felt absolutely amazing. There's probably a perfect strain out there waiting for me, but I'm worried about further experimentation at this point. Unfortunately, I just cannot handle my weed, that's the truth of the matter.

Do you have any general advice on strain selection? Sativa vs Indica vs Hybrids? I have no qualms with the use of THC as I already use it recreationally, so I'm curious if others have any advice on that.

Can you tell me if your first sessions were done sober or using THC ? Since you appear to be a strong natural at this, my main advice would be to give yourself some time (months, not days) before you consider using THC or looking at more optimal strains.  Build a solid base of knowledge and skill, see if you encounter Terror at the Gate or other such things, which could happen sooner than you would think if you continue to progress as quickly, and get acquainted with these manifestations before pushing on.

Collectively, I also don't think we have any idea of what Wim Hof method + THC + S-O will achieve. To me it would be potentially altered-altered-altered states and then, who knows what you'll experience there. Without any practice with steering things in Super-O states, I'd worry about a strong potential bad-trip experience. Your previous experience with cannabis likely means very little here, as a strong session could be 10% from cannabis and 90% from the Super-O state itself...

With THC. Not because I'd read here about it being a powerful tool, but because it's part of my daily lifestyle and has been since I was a kid. It would be weirder for me to do it without, at this point.

Well while I'm not practiced in steering things during a Super-O state, I have navigated more than my fair share of bad trips during my youth when I chased altered states and ego death through things more potent than THC.

Wim Hoff breathing doesn't produce altered mental states in the way that other breathwork practices like Holotropic Breathing seek to. It is focused on creating an altered physiological state - hypoxia - which in turn stimulates the adrenal system to release epinephrine (adrenaline).

During a session I experience intense (non-sexual) arousal in the sense that the body is extremely stimulated by this cyclical hypoxic state and release of adrenaline. There are other physical sensations too - for example, at times the hypoxic state can interfere slightly with your nerve endings which causes your extremities to buzz with a pins-and-needles sensation as if you were charged with electricity.

Although breathing sessions themselves are stimulating, by the time it is finished I tend to feel a state of extremely deep relaxation that I have been unable to achieve through any other non-chemical means. I would describe it as having similarities to the fuzzy bliss of anti-anxiety medication.

My experience so far of doing this with the aneros inserted is that it triggers a state of intense arousal (both sexual and non sexual). The physical action of such deep breaths into the belly and deliberate exhalation causes the aneros to dance and move in long rhythmic strokes. When properly lubricated it feels like the act of inhalation expels the aneros out of the anus, and exhalation sucks it back in and causes contractions in the pelvic floor which pull it like a magnet directly into your prostate. I've not yet hit an O from this alone but the stimulation, combined with the post-breathing relaxation, seems to set the stage perfectly.

I personally think you should give it a shot without. It's awesome to feel how it's really supposed to feel in the natural or pure sense of it. That's a great thing to achieve, I think it's really worth going for this. Since you're at the beginning of things, maybe it won't be that hard to give it a try sober and make it work with Wim Hof breathing only. Maybe you'll like it better than with THC. To me the ultimate goal would be to "just close my eyes and go." Using THC for sessions locked me out of some things I could do before and well, it sucks and it's taking a long time to go back.

I used THC mostly for arousal, and since you tell me Wim Hof breathing achieves similar effects, I think I'll give it an honest try. If it works then I'll be able to say my interest in THC is zero and that would be awesome !

As for strain selection, you have to look at it in practical terms, or at least that's my experience. From what I know, you're dealing with Arousal, Relaxation and Focus and you need all three to achieve S-Os, but they'll feel different and interact in different ways depending on how you mentally picture things and which particular path you take. So you need to see what would make your session better, and then see what dosage and strain of cannabis can potentially do this for you. Hyperarousal is what sends me to unsafe places, so I'd be very careful here.

What I always worry about when discussing this is that people will take warnings that things can get too intense as encouragement that it's going to be "super intense and amazing" and that I'm just some old fool who cannot handle his cannabis. "This is balls to the walls freakin' awesome... and this is why you should *not* do it" does not really sound like a strong argument...

Do you get strong increase in sex drive from using THC ?

Small update. I went through a bit of stress in the last few days, so no sessions, because focusing on stressful stuff is obviously a real session killer, plus I have a mild cold, so clearly, the timing is not right.

I'm normally a strong dreamer and the vivid dreams are just now starting to come back. It seems that in my case, 2 weeks of light cannabis takes 2 months to recover from, at least in that particular department. This was probably affecting my ability to form strong fantasies, too.

Obviously this will be different for everyone, but I think that if someone wants to give it a shot "sober", then it might not be about just taking a day of from cannabis, you might be looking at a much longer break to be able to test your true potential.

I had some nicotine yesterday, which I'll do 3-5 times a year, and this absolutely destroyed my ability to get a strong erection, and removed all prostate feelings. If some people are mixing tobacco and cannabis, as is popular in Europe, then this might be important to note, same if you are a social smoker. I remember reading a paper about nicotine reducing perceived sexual arousal in non-smokers, and not doing much for habitual smokers. Just like with alcohol, there is also a question of blood flow, etc.

All in all, it's about trying to put yourself in the best possible situation, there might be such a thing as an optimal Super-O lifestyle. Smoking and drinking are probably not a part of this...  I'm not trying to promote abstinence and monastic life, but lots of things can happen outside of session and affect a man's S-O results.
