How long does it take before I feel something?

I‘m new to Aneros. Some questions:

How long does it take before I feel something? I mean after how many weeks or months? Today was the second time I did some training with the Aneros. After 30 minutes I got tired and stopped.

How long should a sesssion last, 1 hour or less or even longer?

How often should I do it? Twice a week or more?

Looking forward to good advise.

2-3 times a week.
20-30 minutes is fine.

These are suggestions based on personal experience.

That I cannot tell you.

This is the formula I follow:

- Dark room
- laying on side (see attached illustration)
- listening to Shibby Says audio hypnosis, with ear buds

You might want to try fingering yourself first. I know it's gross at first, but it all washes off. Also latex gloves are very cheap now on amazon, since the pandemic horror/uncertainty seems to have eased off. It's a good way of keeping things hygienic.
I think the first question to answer is "Is there anything good to feel about probing around inside my ass?". I discovered from finger exploration that, yes there is. That might help orient you towards what sensations you're looking for.

I think you should continue the session for as long as you feel like any progress can be made. I find the first 2 hours of a session are most productive, and after that I become desensitized and bored.

Do it as often as you like, or as your libido allows. You'll discover with experience, that some days it's just not going to happen... and a session that day won't be so fruitful... and you'll learn what the markers are for that. Maybe you're too tired, stressed, or don't want it enough. What ever usage pattern you end up with is fine... there is no definite answer that we know of. It will even vary within yourself, like you might go through periods where you're ready to use it every day or every two days. Other times, you might not want it for a week or more. As you become more re-wired, you'll develop a sense for it.

What you might try experimenting with is ejaculatory abstinence. Make an agreement with yourself that anal/prostate pleasure is the only way you'll get-off from now on. You will eventually cave and give in to traditional masturbation after some days/weeks, but the process is enlightening.

Most of all I think it needs to be treated as a collaboration between your body and the device. It's not about serving out a prison sentence of useless sessions until you've put in enough hours, you need to meet the experience half-way. How ever long it takes for your mind and body to adapt is not something anyone else can tell you. Annoying as that is.

Thank you for all your good advise.

When the Aneros touches the prostate, do you feel the impact? Not with me, I don‘t feel anything, therefore don‘t know whether the device makes contact at all.

I'm the same way. It's more like a subtle pressure that's mildly pleasant. But that sensation can escalate a lot if you manage it right.

Actually curious about how others would answer this.
