Since it's only a probe, I guess results will depend on the particular control box used. I tried external Estim with very cheap TENS units and it really was not my cup of tea... but I've been curious ever since. I, too, will be interested to see the answers.

Anyone use estim penetration devices such as the Ovid?

I've tried a few estim devices but have not found them particularly useful or pleasurable although they do definitely give you some unique sensations. There is a thread called The Slightest Touch on this Forum which discusses the use of a product called 'The Slightest Touch' (a modified TENS E-stim device originally designed for women but has also been used by men). The original makers of that product produced a short user manual for men's usage/guidance with @B Mayfield as a contributing author, (here’s a link to a copy of that manual. (Apparently the company was sold a few years ago and since then their service and customer relations significantly deteriorated, I believe the company has since gone out of business. At this time one may be much better off purchasing an alternative product from another manufacturer. Two well known alternative manufacturers are Paridise Electro Stimulations & Erostek.)

There is a large group of E-Stim aficionados at SmartStim.com, with a wealth of information surrounding E-Stim usage, however, you do have to join the membership (it's free) in order to access the website information. There have been numerous discussions there about electrifying Aneros massagers. Most of those discussions revolve around homemade devices. E-Stim equipment is mentioned in the Aneros WIKI and in several threads in the Forum such as Electrosex and Aneros, electrostimulation...., Hesitating to post this but… & electro-stim + aneros / ‘sterostimming’. I've seen a few anal dildos with a "shock" feature, but by my estimation, if it feels like a shock, then it's going wrong. The promotional material even included bolts of lightning! I'm assuming they're aiming it at people who are into pain and punishment?
From my very limited experience with e-stim, it can be good if it's done right, or horribly uncomfortable if not.
I'd be interested if a reputable company invented an all-in-one product (probe + control box), where they actually tested and researched the positioning of the contact points and the intensity of the electrical pulses... such that they could reliably induce wave contractions, and not just deliver stinging sensations.
Sure, I could buy some custom setup, but the amount of trial and error involved comes at too painful a cost.
