Not Aneros related as I use Astroglide for masturbation, but I thought this would be a good place to ask. I use the classic liquid version and recently bought a new bottle. Immediately I noticed the new bottle felt much thinner and water like. I used it and it was ok but not the same. I still had a little bit left of my old bottle so I tried that and it was MUCH better. I compared them side by side for a few days until the old one ran out. The older version was less watery and felt much more like real female lubrication (which is the reason I use it in the first place). The newer version isn't even close IMO and I probably wouldn't buy it again, which is a shame since I've been using it for so long. I'm hoping it was just a bad batch and they haven't changed the formula.
Anybody notice this?
I use Astroglide Gel which is thicker but not super-thick, and you could always thin that with a drop or two of water to get the consistency you like. I have little experience with the original formula but I'm pretty sure it's identical outside of the different viscosity.
I bought a bottle of Astroglide and I found it to be awful. It wasn't slippery and was almost like not having any lube at all. I finally threw it out. To me it is almost worthless. The best that I have found is Walmart's Equate Personal Lubricate Jelly. I've used it when have multiple hour sessions and things are still slick when the session is over.
@zentai Ditto your comments on Astroglide Gel tube. It sticks nicely to my toy when I lube it before insertion, and to my finger tip for anus relaxation before.
Astroglide gel all damn day! My go-to for years now. The formula of the gel has stayed the same forever. The liquid version has changed. It sucks.
I actually use Fleshlight's normal lube for penis play. It lasts a long time, doesn't get tacky too fast, and is very reliable. I can use it in any sleeve-based toys since its water-based with no silicone in it. It does NOT work for anal play though! So its Astroglide gel in me, and Fleshlight lube on me 😉
