plantation,

IMHO almost anything that makes you physically feel good will also have an anti-depressant effect, so the Aneros certainly qualifies on that account.

You might want to read the thread ”For those suffering from depression:” for some other members views on this subject.

The aneros certainly has an antidepressive effect. An orgasm causes large amounts of intensly pleasurable endorphins to be released, and it is known that endorphins are probably the best natural antidepressant. In a sense, the brain drugs itself with antidepressents πŸ™‚

With that said, I highly recommend it, but want to warn to use it with great care. Sometimes a person sufering from depression can have a tendancy to hide their feelings behind an addicting activity they enjoy. There are people that overeat, smoke, drink excessively, or do many other unhealthy things just because it's their "happy place" to hide when depressed. While the aneros is probably much safer and healthier than those other activities, it still can be misused for the wrong reasons.

Take care and play safe.

In my experience it can also be kind of a catch 22. Because when I'm depressed, I'm no where near as horny or interested in sexual things as I would normally be in a happy state of mind. Sometimes I push myself to have sessions and am pleasantly surprised. That's my 2 cents. πŸ™‚
