I recently purchased the Progasm Ice. The model I received was the original version, not the 20th anniversary edition. I've had a couple of issues with the toy. The first one is that the Progasm regularly slips out of my ass during sessions. I can't use it standing up or in doggy because it slips out. It only stays in if I lie on my back, which greatly limits my enjoyment of the toy. The other issue is that I find the tabs to be really hard and uncomfortable. I have read that the 20th anniversary edition fixes most of the issues with the original Progasm. I'm not sure why the original is still being sold if this is the case. I already have a Helix Syn Trident and I was hoping the Progasm would be an upgrade. I think the Helix is significantly better despite being smaller.
@zona-seeker, the original PI has a tab at the bottom bearing the name 'Aneros '. The updated version dosen't.
@Zona Seeker,
Where did you purchase your Progasm ICE? We haven't been selling the old style Progasm ICE in our on line store for 8 months now. If you purchased the product from a reseller, it is possible that they had old stock. As Ggringo mentioned, it is easy to differentiate between the two, the old style has a tab extending from the center of the base with ANEROS molded onto it, the 20th Anniversary doesn't, see here

I think the larger devices are useless and never work anyway. Waste.
Use the helix. IMO larger models are probably best suits to pro’s. They just don’t move much and are a nightmare to keep in.

I agree, the Progasm is best with pro's or at least the more experienced. I don't have problems keeping it in as I don't use an abundance of lube, (2.5 to 3 cc at most). It's one of my favorite in my collection.
Can't go wrong with the Helix or Helix Syn.

I thought the same thing in the past. I was searching for THE model that would work for me. I bought one over ten years ago and threw it away because that was my experience at the time. I had bad technique with lube, and had a lot of difficulty and some discomfort even getting it in. Before that, I had only used the MGX and Helix. Fast forward ten years and my lagging mind finally figured out what I was supposed to experiencing and I had my first super o with the MGX(I know, small), things I had heard others say about the larger devices started to click. I had the feel for the push and pull of the muscles down there.
I struggled some after that, but I found my feet and decided it try the Maximus. It wasn't difficult at all for me to use, and the results were very, very good for me. So much so that I think it would be a great training device....but that experience gave me the idea to try the progasm again when they were clearing out the old models...I got a red ice model and I am very happy with that decision also. Yes, I get that they can slip out, but I once had an insane unexpected orgasm with the progasm half out and I didn't even realize it. All part of this amazing journey, I guess.

I remember years ago that despite its size, mobility was one of the Progasm's greatest assets. I didn't get it then, but I have found more recently is that it is extremely mobile! That seems like the reason it is inclined to slip out, but I feel like that is where its charms are hidden! It's big. There is a lot of surface area and taper for your muscles to contract on. My body's first inclination is to draw it all the way in- as I try to relax, there is no missing the massage feeling as it grazes back by the prostate...which quickly triggers another contraction. It's the loop that leads different lands, ya know.
I know this is just my experience, but I'm just saying don't throw it out because you might change your mind. I love every model I own and want to try all the rest of them! One of these days I'm going to get the new progasm because I think the redesign looks beneficial.
For the record, the Eupho Trident and EST, either one can subdue me like nothing else can and I still haven't figured out what planet they came from or take me to, but they are my favorites.
On larger devices: if I have been inactive a while and I am out of practice, there is something about the larger devices that help me get my rhythm back, then if it was a good session, next time I might go for a smaller one for whatever it is that they do differently, it's usually a win.
@aneros-team I bought it from Lovehoney. The model I received has the Aneros logo imprinted in the base. It's definitely the old model. I actually tried to use it again earlier and it was shooting out of my ass like a rocket. If there is any chance Aneros could supply Lovehoney with the newer 20th anniversary model, that would be great.
You need to train your pelvic floor muscles via a good Kegel routine. Don’t forget reverse kegels too.

@Zona Seeker,
If the reseller is describing the product as new stock on their website (as the New Progasm or the 20th Anniversary Edition) or is displaying graphics depicting the new Progasm, but sent you the old one, then you should be entitled to some accommodation. In that event we suggest you reach out to them directly and request an exchange.

I've got a Black Ice model and I love it. It's my tool of choice. It goes in and gets right to work!
I've had problems before with it slipping out. I found using less or no lube (just some saliva) helped. The more I've used it though the less likely it seems to want to slip out. My bet is my anal musculature has developed to where I get a pretty good grip on it 🙂
Be patient with it. I bet you learn to like it.
@helghast yeah, when I first started it didn't do much. That was several years ago. Now I can get super-o with progasm or vice 2 ect. Though helix syn V is still my favorite by far.
I just got the Progasm ice and the Maximus during the Black Friday sale, and they do the trick. I'm still getting used to the P-gasm, but the maximus is like a goldilocks massager. That sucker knocked my socks off for this first session. Hope you get the replacement squared away.
