Awakening the prostate

Had the aneros sgx for about a month. I figured that was a good one to get as I'm under 5'6". Have been doing 1- 1 1/2 hr sessions two to three times a week. At first it seemed like I was making some progress but then nothing. I try to watch a little porn and jerk off but not to climax. Then I put it in do some breathing and start contractions, kegeling and then bearing down. I'm not sure if I'm expecting too much doing the contractions, in and out. The only thing I notice is that when I do a session, my penis seems like it's in full retraction mode. It is soooo tiny. It shrinks up big time during a session. My question is - is there anything to do that speeds up the "rewiring" so that the prostate wakes up? Should I have more sessions? Shorter sessions? Longer sessions?? Look at more porn before and during? Jerk off before? Maybe I will try the do nothing method and just sit there and just relax.l and see where that takes me. It feels like it's never going to happen......

It's okay that your penis shrinks during a session. that happens. your prostate is getting to know the device and rewiring is presumably going on. This doesn't involve your penis but is a different path to pleasure. In general you're doing everything right, it just takes time. How much time no one can say. the important things are relax, breathe into your belly, be aware of any slight pleasing sensations and savor them, and try to avoid expectations and distractions. Good luck on your journey.

@aneros_user113188,

I agree absolutely with @euphemistic. I doubt that your use of porn will help unless it just helps you to get in the mood for a session.

From my experience, I would say your regime is spot on but I didn't use the SGX much after the first few weeks. I do believe that my regular use of Peridise models over several months finally triggered my rewiring. for several weeks, I even slept with one of the smaller Peridise in place, (for up to nine hours)! After some months, I suddenly discovered that my prostate was slowly awakening, but it didn't all happen overnight.

Be patient. It will eventually happen and probably when you least expect it. As said in another post, Good Luck!

@Pommie, thank you for the Peridise reminder. Tried one this afternoon and I think I will stIck with the middle two for a while. They just seemed so right and generated mini contractions (pulses) and from time to time a hint of an edge. After a while they become delightfully relaxing providing a focus and I am able to sleep as well.

@isvara,My guess is that you will find that the smallest one will eventually turn out to be the best of the lot!

It certainly has for me.

Interesting, may be helpful to others, may be not.
Used the 20mm Peridise last night. Almost immediately I got my mini pulses, slight muscular unconnected contractions. This went on for a while. They were triggered by each out breath. I found that I was trying to assist them so I consciously got out the way allowing them to trigger themselves. The pulses became a little stronger but not connected. As they did so possibly my Prostate began to harden, so long as I did not assist the hardening was very localised and very tight, there felt to be huge potential that was not actualised. This hardening process lated around 30 minutes. The pulses maintaining the potential. The balling was not the BC or PC muscles or if so only an isolated bit, that why I think it was the prostate, after a while I moved position and the hard ball relaxed and the pulses returned to mini isolated ones. During all this time there were mini waves of energy over my scalp could not work out what was triggering them, but it was when I was not getting involved.
I think that I have to deprogram the old musculature ejaculatory expectation.
I eventually after 5 hours including sleep removed the Peridise . Later I inserted the smaller one to help me sleep but it is happily triggering mini irregular pulses as I breathe out. But the memory or potential of the balling of the prostate hovered.
It too has been removed but I doubt if I will sleep now (4:14am). Fortunately I had a sleep rest yesterday afternoon.
All interesting but not yet orgasmic.
My journey perhaps is not the norm, but may help others who are not happy with their progress.
Got 2 hours to go for my take-away flat white espresso - orgasmic? Not quite!

So would you recommend Peridise? Been using Helix and SGX. Used to prefer SGX as Helix somehow seemed to not do much for me, but lately have had interesting sensations with Helix especially. I have noticed this "spiral effect", which is definitely pleasurable and further activated by nipple stimulation. Do you recognize that spiral feeling? One of our forum members once posted a gif-animation, which looked just like a spiral and how it kind of feels.

When I ejaculate and orgasm hard without Aneros I sometimes also feel that spiral movement happening. I think I might be on to something. 😀

@isvara,I haven't used my P2 since May last year and haven't tried the biggest one since February 2012. Think it's about time to revisit them. Could be interesting!

@Electrified,
Iv'e never experienced this spiral movement of which you speak, so I can't comment on that.
I would certainly recommend the Peridise models. In fact, the two smallest ones are used more than all the other Aneros models combined (and I have them all except the DeVice).
Just remember at the outset that the Peridise models were not designed primarily as prostate massagers so, if you are expecting prostate fireworks, you might be disappointed.

@isvara,I have just used the largest of the Peridise models for the first time since February 2012 and, all I can say is "WOW"!!!!

On Wednesday night I had the strongest P-waves/AOs that I have experienced in a very long time and on Thursday night I had my first Super-O in living memory!

Thank you so much for reminding me to revisit this little gem!

Oh but pommie "it's not a prostate massager, therefore it cannot do what you are expecting. Use a massager designed for just that, prostate massage!"

Something I was told here over and over, yet you are one of many stories of this happening (even my own sessions have been the best with the peredise)

Funny!

@inhope,

Frankly, I'm not hung up on whether it is massaging my prostate or not. I know this is not a prostate massager per se but that doesn't prevent me from having a full-blown whole-of-body super-O. I know of several other Peridise users who manage to experience super-Os, using Peridise models, so I know I'm not alone here.

My recent experience has been that most dedicated prostate massagers are too aggressive for me. Anything larger than the Eupho just sends my prostate into overdrive. I prefer to enjoy a leisurely cruise, thank you!

Mind you, that doesn't stop me from having an occasional spin with the Progasm Junior or the Helix if I am feeling like a bit of fun and am particularly switched on!

@inhope, there is no right or wrong in this journey. It is a pity when posters suggest otherwise. The golden rule is do "what works for you". The Peridise rests against the prostate and for some that subtle pressure in the right place is enough to trigger a response. For some the Peridise needs to be deep in others a bit out. The thing it lacks is the pivot point. However several times my internal muscles have pull the Peridise tight against my Prostate, much more so than with models with the P-tab.

I too consider Peridise and a close 2nd, Tempo my devices of choice for all the reasons that Pommie described. I've evolved to employing a prostate massager(MGX or Helix)when I feel particularly aroused and want a "fuller" feeling. The Peridise 16mm has generated wonderful orgasms and I can classify one of them as SuperO for sure. My prostate can get overstimulated with the the prostate massage devices after about 1.5 hrs and so far has not produced sensations that I would call above and beyond Peridise in terms of raw pleasure. I may consider adding to my Peridise collection, I only have the smallest one(Peristal).

Echoing Euphemistic's input.Awakening the prostate is more mind and body than exclusively the Aneros — though it is important, of course. You may not feel much because your body hasn't learnt to pick up on the unique movements and sensations of each muscle. This will happen over time with consistent sessions, just don't loose faith.

This spiral? I stole it from someone here, I forget who.
