I have a few models of Aneros and am very, stress very, happy with them. None of them have the concentric rings or ridges like the MGX. I notice that very few of the devices are built that way. Were they not cost effective to produce or did the just not generate the pleasure that the rest of the line does.

I guess I am wondering if it's just an older design which has been greatly improved or is it one I should give my attention yo?

I oftened wondered about those rings myself. I would assume they were there for some added pleasure. The MGX for me at least tends to slide in and out the most compared to other models. Maybe the rings were thought to add some sensation during this sliding motion but who knows. It doesnt add enough feeling to notice IMO.
