Are any Aneros users here on Flomax for BPH? If so, does it diminish or enhance the enjoyment of Aneros if the prostate is relaxed by Flomax?

Flomax relaxes the bladder neck, which on the interior of the prostate.  This does impact the ejaculatory pathway, leading to partial or full retrograde ejaculation.

But I don't think it will impact the rest of the pelvic floor muscles involved in orgasm, or prostate orgasm.

I was on Flomax for years and didn't notice any Aneros change after getting off of it, thank to a very successful TURP. If you are a candidate for a TURP, don't put it off. Its great to be able to pee again, and back to only taking one drug - that recreational one.

I have never been on Flomax but I did start getting symptoms of BPH about a year ago (inadequate voiding, residual drips). I found that regular Aneros use really helped relieve these symptoms. It feels so good now being able to fully void and not have follow on drips. Feels like my urethra is wide open when voiding.

I started my first dose of Flomax last night, but I ended up with really nasty nasal congestion, which I understand is one of the side effects. I was intermittently taking Pygeum and Stinging Nettle Root, which didn't have any of these effects. I'm not sure I want to continue using it if I'm stuffed up all the time.

@shinobi thanks for bringing this topic up, I have also been concerned about the Flomax. I have never taken it, but some time ago, during a period of EXTREME stress in my life, my gut just locked up and caused all kinds of problems... problems antacid tablets only compounded. I had to take a med that helped me through the problem, but made it hard to urinate and it felt like a needle was sticking in my eye(yes, that was a listed side affect!). The Doc said welcome to middle age, he thought that if the med did that to me, then I was already dealing with a problem that had not yet become bad enough to notice yet, and he offered a script for Flomax. I declined, and thankfully, the stressors eased soon after that and I didn't need the medicine anymore.

You take what you have to to stay healthy, but I despise taking anything I don't absolutely have to have just because of the side effects. SSRIs, muscle relaxers, and others can really mess with your ability to enjoy yourself.
