Hello all,

This question is for people who have chronic pelvic pain syndromes though others might be able to help.
My problem is after a while of using the aneros I get a strong urge to urinate, I'm pretty sure it's not the pleasurable feeling people here describe having. This really kills my arousal and I find it hard to build it up again but this could be a different issue. Either way I feel like it's hindering my progress with the aneros. On a positive note I can empty my bladder more fully just after using the aneros. I guess what I'm wondering is if anyone else has had this problem and did they get past it? Thanks for any suggestions.

i have cpps. but i don't have that particular issue. sometimes i need to pee during a session, and i just go do it. not a problem. if you don't want to travel to the bathroom, pee into a bottle or urinal flask available at your drugstore. when i have a (now rare) flare up of urinary problems (like peeing 6 times a night), i keep the urinal near the bed so i can pee and drop off quickly to sleep.

by the way, i found a new book called Heal Pelvic Pain. It takes a very similar approach to A Headache in the Pelvis, but i still find it very useful. It is clear that in many cases, mine included, pelvic tension is the source of the pain (even if you doubt it). I highly recommend these books. (and also the Crystal Wand Deluxe to do internal massage, which is part of the program.)

Pelvic floor tension is also a major impediment to successful aneros use. In fact, my current theory is that pelvic muscular tension is the main reason that some guys have bad luck w/ the aneros. Your pelvis needs to be relaxed and responsive to move the aneros around.
