hey

so i have some superficial anal fissures which means ive been told to stay away from rough anal sex. that being said, would using an aneros be okay? given that it's not really going in and out repeatedly, i'm thinking it should be okay.

anyone have any experience?

If you're feeling okay passing stool, it should be okay provided it isn't larger models like the Progasm or Maximus.
The main thing to be careful of is not stretching the muscles so much that it 'rips' it open again. Unfortunately for anal fissures, the healing process can often swell and tighten the area and thus make rips occur more easily. This is also why it's advisable to get more fibre in your diet if you haven't already, and even eat a bit of pineapple every day. You did mention that it's superficial, though, so it's probably not that big of a deal.

Generally speaking, see how you feel from initially putting your finger in. (For pre-lube)

I got your response to my thread the other day, thanks. I've read that coconut oil can have a lot of healing and moisturizing benefits for fissures. I've been trying to apply some multiple times per day. I'm going to try and stick with that and avoid any activity that would involve stretching the tissues too much. Hopefully it'll go away soon.

I'll add a suggestion. About 10 years ago, I had an anal fissure that was really painful physically and pretty depressing emotionally. I used to break into a sweat just when I had to use the bathroom because of the pain. Anal play was out of the question. My doctor explained to me that when there is a fissure, the body's response is to tighten, to protect it. But when it's tight, blood flow to the area is cut off and the blood flow (with oxygen) is what is going to bring healing. Think of when you clench your fist and your fingers turn white... no blood getting to the tissue... now imagine this is your anus! He prescribed an ointment of petroleum jelly mixed with nitro glycerin (what some heart patients take in pill form). When you put it on, it causes the blood vessels to dilate (and it causes a very brief, but manageable headache). It also caused the muscles around the anus to relax, which immediately made it feel better, and within a couple of weeks, I was healed and back to normal. Of course, check with your doctor about this (you'll need a prescription anyways) -- it was remarkably effective and simple. Best of luck with your issue -- I hope you feel better soon!

@therealdeal99 I can't comment on what you should do as I never had fissures. I did however get operated on for hemeroids so I know a lot about anal excrutiating pain. My question is how does one get fissures? What causes that?

Does the Peridise model work to provide any relief for hemorrhoids or fissures?
