About 2 weeks ago now, I had received my first Aneros in the mail, Helix Classic. I, being the greenhorn that I am, was extremely nervous the first time I put it in, despite having read so much from this site about how important relaxation is. I laid on my side, doing the classic "one leg folded, the other almost straight" pose, and while it went in easily enough, not too much happened.
And so was the result of my next 5 sessions. As the sessions proceeded, I tried relaxing more and more, and felt very, very slight sensations. (I'm sticking with the "Do nothing" for now)
Now, about 3 hours ago, I began my 7th session. I lubed up, as per the normal, but decided to do several things differently. First, I put in the Helix, after covering it with lube, let it sit, pulled it out after a few minutes, then drowned it in even more lube. Secondly, I laid on my left side instead of my right, and had my legs overtop each other (They were bent about halfway between where the 2 legs are normally in the other pose.)
But most importantly, instead of just closing my eyes, I watched some porn. Some of my favorite porn videos. And THAT'S when I finally felt something.
It felt...almost like the end of my Helix started vibrating whenever I breathed out. I also found that if I stopped breathing for a second, the vibrating-like feeling would continue.
So what I'm wondering is, should I try to do some contractions? Perhaps try out the tug of war technique? Or, for now, should I just keep trying to replicate and focus on the vibration?
I like to think I know a lot about the Aneros, but in truth, I am still but a greenhorn. Any advice would be much appreciated!
Oh, also worth commenting, my nipples produce a nice tingling sensation when touched, but I feel like it goes right to my penis rather than prostate sometimes, and sometimes it's the other way.
I take it this is not normal? Haha.

Yes, continue to focus on the sensations you get...as they tend to be the beginning of even bigger sensations!
My experience was exactly what you described...the sensations started small and grew much bigger with patience and time!
I also applaud you for being willing to try different positions to see what works for you!

@JoshPodge, congratulations on your progress, sounds like you are well on your way to bigger things to come (or should I say "to O")
Keep experimenting with different things that others mention here and remember, the destination to the journey you are on is different for all. Try some new things, if they do not seem to help move on to something else. With trial & error of many different things you will discover what works best for you.
A position that I found that works best is laying on my belly. That way the aneros can give pleasure to the prostate on the inside, the pressure from the pubic bone area puts slight pleasurable pressure on the prostate from the other side. Gets me into an O zone in less than a minute every time.
@acquiescence I certainly hope I am on my way to great feelings! I'll try to keep experimenting with different things! I tried to belly position, but because I'm kinda obese, it doesn't work as well, haha.
@Theme_Gasm Thanks for the advice! I spent a lot of my last 2 sessions trying to recreate and extend the length of the buzzing. Not pleasurable yet, but I have a good feeling about it!

The pleasure is a boomerang. You can sense it and feel it, but only your body can throw it or catch it. Don't try to "hang on" to the pleasure - your body is trying to throw again, and if you let it, the pleasure will intensify with every return, every cycle. Be an oberserver.
