I am one of those odd ducks who actually researched the purchase of an Aneros for excessive urination at night, as an alternative to meds, not as a sex aide. I've had it about 2 years now with v-e-r-y mixed results. Early on, I removed the rear tab, and sanded it smooth, because that tab just hurt too damned bad. That did help the comfort level while using it much, much better. For the next few months, my nighttime urination went for 3-5 times a night to 1-2. I'd call that a major success, and I do still use it for that purpose. And yes, I did indeed find its side effects as a "sex toy" pretty nice as well, though I have yet to achieve a Super-O. In fact, I had MAJOR tingles along with the residual butt sensations right after I purchased it, for the first 5-6 months I'd say. But sadly, as time has gone on, even after reading SCADS of testimonials & advice on the proper use of the product, etc., I have eventually felt less and less, with the sensations finally a-l-m-o-s-t going away....and the remaining P-tab still hurts with every insertion/wearing as well.. To this day it hurts almost as much as the rear tab did that I had cut off two years ago.
SO, I have recently performed 2 modifications. First, using a heat gun, I rotated the round circle at the end of the P-tab from a vertical position to lateral, so that it now lays flat against my perineum. THAT helped a WHOLE LOT, but I still had slight discomfort during use!! So, lastly, I applied the heat gun again to the length of the tab itself, and softened the U shape it has from the manufacturer, by pulling it a bit "wider" I guess you'd say. The first time I did that, I pulled it too wide, to where upon insertion, the round tab was about the only part outside my puckered hole, lol. Not wanting it to disappear inside, it took a second heating to close that U just a bit, and yet kept it wider than it comes from the manufacturer.
So far, (knock on wood), I now have the most comfortable fit I have had in the entire two years I have used it. It feels a LOT better while sitting, and I can actually use it for extended periods now. Even normal walking around provides nice little ass sensations/tingles. In conclusion, I have STILL never had a Super-O, but on the upside, my nighttime urination remains at 1-2 times per night, which was always my goal from the initial purchase. All the prostate massage experiences have just been an added bonus. Now that the Aneros has introduced me to butt play, I'd like to try a remote controlled Nexus, but they are a bit pricey for my pocket book, LOL!!!
@Coach2 Like you, I got into Aneros primarily for BPH symptoms. The Aneros sessions with Helix, Eupho and others were sensational (including Super-O's). But I wanted to get back into prostate massage for therapeutic reasons. I am now using the High Island Health's (HIH) Model 950 (a new model) and I love it. It has an entirely different design and does not have any annoying tabs. In fact, I can even sleep/sit in it. I still get amazing sensations while keeping my BPH symptoms in control. It is not very expensive either (~$40). You may want to check it out!
I do regular 'therapy' sessions aimed at keeping my BPH (AKA LUTS) symptoms in check and that helps; however, I'm also told to generously drink fluids whenever I awaken-- as many as five times each night.
Thanks for the tip. Following your lead, I'll start out with my Helix-syn (my occasional "nighttime buddy").
When the 950 arrived in the HIH catalog, I bought one and gave it to my younger Son. If your night-time game works for me I'll be looking for a 950 for myself. Looks like I'll be ordering another 950. Costs will be quickly retrieved--I dampen one or two male urinary Guards each night Three dozen of those will pay off in about four months. Will post here if this works for me.
@rook I really like the 950. It works on my prostate "just right" without any pain or discomfort. Yes, it looks different from the other models, but after all, it is new! I drink a LOT of water every day.
@rook, I will continue to use my modified Aneros as a BPH aide, since it has helped my nighttime urination problems. But, your testimony about the HIH950 hitting your prostate just right is intriguing as well, so I m-i-g-h-t consider forking out the money for one. I never would have even remotely considered thinking about achieving a "Super-O" with ANY aide, had I not had prostate problems in the first place. After all, it took a huge amount of faith to put something UP my backside, without it feeling a bit gay, lol. But now that I am fairly used to the product for tackling my prostate problems, the tingly/pleasant/erotic feelings have been a nice respite as well. So, my question to you is - has the 950 helped you achieve a Super-O? Since I am using the dang thing medically anyway, I might as well learn to enjoy it as a sex aide as well, LOL!!!!!
Is Aneros going to offer the 950 as well, or is it only going to be exclusive to HIH?
