Aneros Team,

It's taken a bit getting used to, but new chat is growing on me. Much more reliable and nice features. Couple of items think would enhance the experience:
- Add Profile/Description section. Allows other users in chat to know little about you. For instance, I've been riding for five years, so if someone new to Aneros joins chat they could see I am an experienced user who may be able to offer good tips and advice.

- Custom Profile Pics. Nice to have stock to choose from, butt better if could have custom pics to be more expressive.

- History. Be nice to get expansive history again, so can review those great detailed discussions Aneros Chat is known for. Now only get short bit and can't go back further.

Thanks!

-V

Hi Varmint,

These are all good suggestions.

Unfortunately, it looks like the company that makes the chat software has gone out of business. We have been trying to contact someone to buy an add-on module for the custom profile pics with no luck. After doing a Google search on the company it does look like they aren't supporting the software any longer. It's a bummer because it is a pretty nice offering.

In general it's difficult to "add" features to something like the chat and forum unless the software itself already supports it. It's really hard to write custom code add-ons to packaged software. In general, companies don't want you to modify their code and it also makes upgrading the software challenging.

We have made a pretty good investment in terms of cost and development time into the chat so we are going to go with it for a while until we find another software solution that is better. Wish we had better news for you.
