Suggestion for MGX

Still a newer user, but what I would love to see on the MGX -

1) A ball instead of the thin plastic tab.

2) A smaller handle? More flexible? Or one without it?

Reasons for 1) I am already extremely sensitive around my perineum. The tab tends to hurt so I have folded tissue to get rid of the painful pressure and replace it with something more enjoyable. It's not a matter of being hard contractions. It can be shallow ones too. The contact with the hard plastic just isn't comfortable at all. Ball or maybe a silicon ball of some sort maybe? I would love it.

Reasons for 2) I really prefer to lie flat on my back. The handle rubbing against a towel reduces the pleasure of my session. It's a rather drastic experience changer. Having to prop myself up with a pillow or bend my knees works, but I feel so much more comfortable and relaxed lying flat. I know I can choose different positions, and I have tried a few already, but lying flat is still my favorite go to for relaxing and exploring.

Hello @Drummel,Welcome to the Forum!

You are actually by no means the first MGX user to express exactly these problems. I have been on the Forum for well over five years and several people have come up with suggestions which I adopted almost from the start.

1. To solve the problem of the P-tab creating discomfort, for a couple of dollars spent at your pharmacy, you can buy either an eye dropper or a babies feeding syringe. Either of these will have a rubber bulb that can easily be fitted over the P-tab, creating just the sort of result that you are seeking.

2. This one is easily solved by merely cutting off the curly part of the handle with a pair of wire cutters (or even a strong pair of scissors), but be sure to leave attached the straight portion of the handle, (about an inch or 2.5cm) so that it continues to function as a stabiliser. Having removed the curly bit, you can use a dremel moto-tool (or even a nail file) to smooth off the end of what remains of the handle.

Have fun!

welcome drummel. The problem is that the mgx was not designed for most men. A lot of us have complained about it being painful and I've actually amputated both handles, the p-tab and ring. I'm told it's our fault for having virgin perineums, we need to tough it out and get calluses there. Or figure out how to cushion the p-tab. The mgx works okay when I modified it's design but is not that special IMO. I would ask for my money back but doubt I would get it. it's the only aneros device I was completely disappointed with.

@Pommie Thanks! I will look into the rubber bulb - sounds like a great idea. As to the second, I used a pear of smaller wire cutters closer to the base (I slowly cut and filed a little at a time below the handle until it felt comfortable) It left me with approximately 1/8" plastic nub that I filed smooth. And it is absolute bliss being able to relax comfortable now - my thanks!

@euphemistic Toughing it out would be a rough experience for most of us I imagine - As I am sensitive by nature right there forcing myself to get use to it would require much shorter sessions and greatly spread out as the soreness takes time to go away. Time will tell 🙂

I have but two glass toys. One is a DonWand Bent Graduate (a hand-me-down from my wife), the other a glass Pestle acquired at a local antique store. Admittedly neither are ideally shaped to stimulate my prostate so I might not be entirely fair in leaning away from glass toys in general.

I am still impressed with the simple epoxy putty that I put on the tab of my MGX (and Eupho). I got the plumber quality epoxy putty, the NSF has it as being safe when in contact with potable water (so you can mend a crack on the pipes that feed your kitchen sink and drink from it all day and you're fine). It is also inert when dry and cured, and will not cause any discomfort or have a reaction with your skin. I've been using them quite a bit the last few weeks and there is nothing going on that is bad with regards to skin contact.

You can take the compound and after you mix it with your fingers (use safety gloves) put two balls of it on either side of the tab and then add some more to have them meet in the middle. I know your pain, I too have had issues with the tab. It wouldn't stay centered and would roll to either side of my perineum ridge, and I never came from the aneros until I modified it with the putty. The MGX is now my go-to for orgasms, it is way better than I ever imagined and I've been using it for 10 yeas!
