Oh what I would give for a stainless steel Helix.

I'm spending time far from home and after a few weeks I was feeling quite aneros-less (and not in a good, aless way). I hit up the best shop in town hoping to find a model I haven't tried, and they only had the progasm (didn't want to repurchase, especially at that price), and ABS plastic knock-offs of the helix. Booooo on pirated aneros goods. I bought it, though, as it was only $13 bucks and I figured it wouldn't be a loss if it didn't work.

Oh man. That hard ABS plastic. It's my new best friend.

But I really don't want to keep putting this thing of questionable provenance inside me. While I'll get a helix classic in due time, I would really love a helix steel. I own three different Njoy plugs and they're fantastic.

I see that the tempo is steel, but without the p-tab, I'm not willing to take a gamble as I already have the njoy pfun plug.

Come on, Aneros. You know you want to. Everybody's doin' it 😉

I 100% agree that a stainless steel helix would be a dream come true. The only toys that seem to work for me are stainless steel (hello Tempo) or glass. Anything plastic or silicone based never seem to have movement regardless of the amount of lube. I'm sure it costs more to mass produce stainless steel over plastic, but I'd be more than willing to pay the extra $$$ for that.

@crankheart and @Iceman99, I agree. Along with a stainless steel Helix, Eupho, Maximus, and Progasm all in stainless steel would be awesome but certainly pricey. I just love my Tempo. However do not try to take these proposed models through airport security or they may be confiscated.

I think @yankeecowboy 's suggestion is spot-on. Helix-classic provided me with my first Super-O and remains as one of my top-two Aneros "orgasmic" tools. Part of the 'joy of Helix' happens when I roll over onto my back and the tool works it's way onto the posterior surface of my rectum. That reduces some of the pressure on my prostate while exciting a sensitive spot I've learned to cherish. The added mass of a steel Helix should ramp up this feeling.

Perhaps replacing the "handle" with a "loose k-tab" might just make the above possible.

My preference would be a Progasm Steel, or something like it with maybe a floppy stem so the bulb would be more aggressive/active, especially when sitting.

I would be totally interested in purchasing a Helix Steel, if Aneros were to make one. I think it would be even more amazing than the Helix I have now. As for other steel models, I'm not so sure...maybe a Progasm Steel.

Steel is real. I've moved away from the aneros line a bit and fallen in love with my plug 2.0 from Njoy. Now that I'm mmorgasmic from learning with aneros, I can super o with anything in there pretty much. I even had the medium njoy plug in during play with my gf and I had three little dry o's that made me vocalize and shake. It was her first time seeing me dry o and it was kinda trippy for her, but I was stoked.

Plus the steel is really easy to clean, which is extra nice if you have another sexual partner around.

Are you some kind of genius?

Keep in mind that stainless steel is really, really REALLY heavy. Crankheart mentioned above the njoy 2.0, which is beyond most user’s ability to hold in place unless they are on the stomach, facing downward, and gravity keeps the plug in. On the back, sphincter / PC muscle fatigue would set in rather quickly by comparison with ABS or silicone...and exhausted muscles would shorten the session undesirably.

Keep in mind, also, how short all of njoy’s plugs are, in combination with the pronounced curve of the tiny handle. Without those weight-reducing and sphincter-hugging design features, most users would not be able to hold them in place. The curve and head-heavy design of the njoys make the weight sit just forward of the sphincter, rather than on top of it...where it would slide right out. The base is also as small as possible, scalloped, and foreshortened into an oval shape to avoid putting more weight outside the anus, weighing the toy down further. The base and tabs on of the aneros design would be a lot of weight pulling the toy out via gravity while adding no additional surface area to grip onto.

So...solid Stainless is just too heavy for most traditional buttplug designs.

Some manufacturers (Master Series is one) have made a stainless-steel aneros-type massager that is, IMHO, far too short, at around 3.25” in insertable length. And they still have to compensate for the excess weight by carving grooves around the circumference up and down the entire shaft for additional grip. But those grooves become irritating to the skin during a long session, and the head is too skinny to provide enough contact with the p-spot.

Another possibility would be to make the stainless steel aneros hollow— as Njoy does with their Eleven Dildo. But casting a smooth, hollow stainless steel object (especially low carbon surgical steel like 316LVM) with a uniform internal void —and therefor uniform weight —is not an easy feat, and those njoys are priced as such. The knockoff copycats of the njoy Elevens always have air pockets and flaws in the casting, because it’s extremely hard to do well.

so...I think you’d probably be looking at a $200+ stainless aneros...and it may still require design changes that would negatively impact the ergonomics of the original aneros design.

But who knows...I’d love to be proven wrong and see aneros make one at a sane price that holds true to the original design.

This sounds like a great idea. You could lost wax cast them but they would take a good bit of hand work polishing.

Imagine a hollow Progasm with a couple steel balls inside that could rock back and forth while tensing and releasing your rectum.

I'm getting excited.

A great idea! Maybe incorporate a threaded end so you could attach different tails like Classic or Trident or?

I have just tried Tempo - absolutely amazing. My favorite aneros by far now. And I think part of the reason is the stainless steel.

Would love to see more models in stainless steel; I realize it's probably a technical problem to manufacture and reproduce the aneros models exactly; but something along the lines of tempo with some of the contours of the traditional aneros models would be, well...orgasmic.

The feeling of the stainless steel of the tempo is just another level.

Totally agree with all the comments! The weight is great for building up muscle tone in the sphincter and pc areas. Once you have experienced the pleasurable sensation of stainless steel gliding across the prostate, you will be hooked - intensity level keeps increasing until you feel like you’re going to implode! Definitely raises arousal to the next level! More expensive but well worth it! Would like to see steel products in the Aneros line!

I was so skeptical before I got the Tempo - but count me in. Now my fave. Why not different variations on Tempo?

Traditional Aneros models cast in stainless steel would be unwieldy and not perform like those made of thermoplastic do.  Essentially they would function more like butt plugs. This would even be the case with the Eupho which is our thinnest product. The temptation at that point would be to drive the device by hand, which is not advisable for an anatomically configured products like Aneros massagers.  Unfortunately, the weight of stainless steel limits its use.
