How often do you think about sex?

I don’t know if it is true or not, but there is a line from the movie Simply Irresistible that goes “The average man thinks about sex 238 times a day”. Now, assuming a 16 hour awake period per day that would be (16 x 60 = 960 min., 960 / 238 = 4.03 min), One sexual thought every 4+ minutes. My libido is not nearly as strong as it was at 18 yrs. old but I would have to say on average I think of sex once every 10-15 minutes. IMHO, your thought of once every 5 minutes is well within that average range. In an older post I spoke of the ADIDAS* curse of youth.

I think about sex almost all the time, but I put every 15 minutes because I do occasionally become engrossed in something that takes my mind away from it!

It's a difficult question to answer really, because I find myself thinking about sex continually for long periods of time. If my brain were a 2GHz processor then I guess I'd be thinking about sex about 2,000,000,000 every second!

It's a bit like the question of how many orgasms I have in a two-hour session with my Peridise. I dunno, because it's hard to tell when one orgasm ends and another begins especially as they go on for so long 😀

I just could not vote in this pole. There are too many factors that come into play for me. So there was no choice that fits me. There have certainly been times where it would be every 5 minutes but I don't think I have ever gone more than a week.

That's a tough one. I find that I go through sexual cycles. During the peak all I can do is think about sex and feel my body just buzzing for sexual contact. During the low sex isn't on my mind at all. It would be hard to average all out. Though at some point during the day sexual thoughts will happen. So at least everyday I guess would be my answer but how often during the day all just depends on my cycle.
When I was younger sex was much more on my mind than it is now.

This is a tuff one.. probably every couple hours for me... but that thought may really be delayed because of work, and having to really focus.

I don't have to think about SEX:

I am SEX ... SEX is ME ... if anything, SEX thinks about me in nano-seconds .

I voted for every half hour, buts it tough. In my head there is a loop in the parallel processor part that is constantly sampling the background data for sexual opportunities. Now, since I have an Aneros, and a prostate that likes a lot of attention during the day, my sexual thoughts have increased, not decreased.

I don't consider this unnatural, a loop is constantly running in the background for keeping me on schedule, dangerous situations, my children's safety/whereabouts and when am I going to eat my next cookie.

There was a time during my forties when I would go for perhaps, more than a week without thinking about sex, but I was under considerable work stress at that time.

Now that I have retired, there is much more time for the leisure of thinking about sex.
Since obtaining Aneros devices I have found I am thinking of sex several times a day.

I still go for several hours some times without thinking of sex, but as time permits, I could be thinking of it continuously for some hours. How on earth do I rate that on the scale of this poll? I voted 4 hours, but I really couldn't be sure without having a some sort of timing device continuously monitoring my brain!

I know that I get too involved in stuff most times to even think about sex, but it will come to mind in some of the strangest places, like fixing a faucet or eating. 😆

It has to be several times a day, if not more. But if I'm working, I usually am thinking about work. Driving is another subject altogether. I think about sex more when driving than at any other time.

Really tough question. Sometimes it is hours on end. it really depends how busy I am. I usually enjoy my Aneros and a good jelqing session everyday at noon since I live only 5 minutes from work. My wife highly approves and is always in the mood for a good pounding and the Aneros keeps my rod in top shape.

I can't really answer this. In my case it's proportional to the times I have sex or masturbate. I don't believe they are anymore, probably just a load of Tao-ist crap. The same 'sages' would say NEVER to ejaculate in the winter, or after you reached a certain age. When it requires this type of OCD behaviour, I eventually lose interest

I don't knowingly have wet dreams, and so it is somewhat irrelevant to me.

On the subject of how often do I think about sex - I would have to say every day, because as others have stated, there is more to life than just sex, and my frequency of thought is very difficult to gauge, and does thinking about it for a couple of hours, mean you have still only thought about it once?

I was telling my wife I think about sex every 5 minutes and I often think about her. She said women are different and that they get involved with what they are doing and that she doesn't think about it very much during the day. I understand women are different, her sister is horny all the time, but she is also and air head and not very productive at work. LOL!
