Hi team!

I finally hit the purchase button on the newer Helix Syn V tonight. I've been contemplating this purchase for over a month of this product, and currently using the Hugo. It hasn't been doing it for me and kinda wishing I went the Aneros product to begin with.

I appreciate it's all about techniques and breathing and enjoying. However I have a question regarding technique and getting to involuntary. Is the aim to get to involuntary stage and let the product go to town without needing to do exercises?

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere. I had a red hot go by trying to find this answer in the wiki section first.

Ps. I can't wait for my new adventure!

Just received today in the post. Looks so much less daunting compared to my existing Lelo. Unfortunately I won't have proper free time alone to use this with ease until 1 week from now. I could sneak or rush in a session for the sake of things, but won't to take a proper approach and take my time.

It looks so sleek and the vibration modes seem more subtle. Which from what I've read, they shouldn't numb or jack hammer the area lol.

A week seems a long wait but I will take that as a good thing. Will heighten my desire and gives me a chance for that build up and will refrain for the quick release before then (if you know what I mean!)

Reading some people's experiences with the syn v turns me on extremely and makes me want it more. I understand to roll with it, keep it calm, breath and enjoy. Even if I don't feel anything or have any pleasure waves for my first handful of tries, that's totally OK.

I will update all with my progress soon!

I started with a Vector + which never really got me anywhere - listened to some of Forrest Andrews podcasts and got a Helix Syn V as my first Aneros product (and have since added an Eupho)

For me at least involuntaries was never really my goal, or maybe I should say an absolute milestone I was seeking  ... they may be the byproduct of fatigue and sometimes happen, sometimes don't and again for me don't necessarily correlate to p waves or O's.  All the information in the Wiki can feel overwhelming at times but to your core question I think they are mentioned so you'll know what you're experiencing if they do happen.

Enjoy the anticipation!  The Helix really worked for me in combination with all the information and techniques.  And do carve out some time so you're not feeling rushed.  Take it slow, find what works for you and enjoy the journey!

@hesnot thank you!

I've had mine for just over a week since it came in the post.

Tomorrow I aim to use it however I may not have enough time that I thought I was going to. For the sake of rushing I won't use it but won't expect anything doe the first use. Will be a chance to get used to the feeling and just enjoy any sensation which may come my way. Everyone on this forum is so supportive!

Update:

I finally got to use it for the first time today.

I feel today's session was just getting a feel for it. How it feels, how it sits, what feelings it may give my body.

I admit I didn't have any waves or any heightened experiences and that's ok. However I did have lots of pre cum which kinda ensures me I had the right spot and on the right track.

I did have to stop twice to pee though which was annoying. Before the session I made sure my bowels were empty and had urinated. But apparently my body wanted more out.

A buzz kill but that's ok. It's all part of the learning experience
