My experiences with Aneros vs Intimate Rose

A few months ago I bought the Intimate Rose pelvic wand to deal with pelvic and abdominal pain and muscle tension. I slowly wandered over to the prostate world again as I have off and on throughout the years. In my younger years I was reluctant to spend good money on a prostate toy, but with the pelvic wand I found a really good way to stimulate my prostate. I use the larger end of the wand since it vibrates more than the smaller end. I start by placing the wand behind me while squatting on the floor. I insert the large end into my anus while the small end is pointing downward. The large end goes in, curves forward towards the prostate, and the small end is behind me. I reach behind me and use the small end to maneuver the large end inside me back and forward, up and down, etc. It puts some intense pressure on the prostate and I like it. I decided to try 2 Aneros models: the Eupho Syn Trident and the Helix Syn V. The Eupho just doesn't seem big enough, and unfortunately I am past the 60 day return window to be able to return it. Maybe I will warm up to it in the future. The Helix Syn V does feel a lot better, and I like the vibration feature. However, I am still unable to get as much prostate stimulation as with the pelvic wand unless I reach behind and intervene manually by moving the Syn V forward to touch my prostate more. I do like the hands free aspect but just wish I had more pressure on the prostate since I dont think I will be able to have a prostate orgasm with less pressure. I could be wrong. I looked at the Vice 2 device but decided it may be too large and uncomfortable for my rectum and anus.  Any suggestions are welcome, and thanks for reading.  I suppose I could return the Syn V and try the Vice 2.

Explore them all but work to try to recognize the potential of each one. I think it's amazing how Eupho's subtle pleasure is. With it you can capture the slightest variations of pleasure and feel the progression of pleasure and delirium in your own body.

With my Progasm JR I already realized that because it is bigger the stimulation is more intense, so basically my starting point in pleasure is always high. All of this takes time , practice , experimentation and forum reading .

Enjoy your wand but don't forget the treasure Helix and Eupho that are kept with you.

Just a quick update. I have discovered the nimbleness of the Eupho allows me to pull back on it where the P-tab comes off the perineum and the K-tab digs into my body a bit more, tilting the unit more towards the prostate. When I pull back on it and contract the pelvic floor (pulling it in), I can really feel a nice sensation and get the juices flowing out. However, at this point it's no longer hands-free, which is disappointing, but at least I have found a way to use it.  Anyone else have this experience?

Yes, this is why some men remove most of the K-Tab arm, which I can't advise doing on a Syn since you'd be cutting into the silicon and probably compromising your device. A less drastic option is to fold some paper towels and put them under the P-tab to shim it a bit, or to find something you can fit over the P-Tab to make it bigger.

@zentai Maybe that should be next in the product lineup...shims...lol!  It doesn't seem like a good solution to use paper towels, wash clothes, etc as they will just move around and fall out. Do you have any recommendation based on my experience?  Are there certain models that are more ideal for modifying?

Surprisingly, folded facial tissues tend to stay in place, I've been doing this for years, I'd say 95% of time there is no issue with moving around. Cotton rounds for makeup are also pretty good for this. Give it a shot, it's really the simplest trick, and if it works for you then you'll be set.

I use silicon finger protectors, others use rubber bulbs from medicine droppers, but I own classics (plastic only) and the tab is smaller. Silicon from the finger protectors *could* react with the silicon on the ball tab of the Syn, I'm not sure I would take that risk.   I made my own shims with oven-dry modeling paste like Sculpey and they work ok. Look around the house, a small square of sponge would do, otherwise the local dollar store is a good place to check for ideas.

The all-plastic models are best for mods, but it's also easy to overdo it, I feel shimming is the best way to go.

@zentai Awesome, I appreciate the ideas and will start trying things. Which plastic models do you have, by the way?

Eupho, Progasm, SGX (discontinued smaller MGX) and Helix. I use the Eupho almost exclusively.

@zentai Nice. I had thought about returning the Syn V since it's barely within the 60 day return period and trying the Progasm since the head is tilted more towards the prostate. Sounds like maybe I should try the shims idea on both the Eupho and Syn V instead.

I tried folding up some toilet paper and a round plastic container under the P-tab to try and angle the eupho more towards the prostate but it's still not enough for me to feel it. Using my hand to angle it is so much better. I'll try to keep experimenting but I think I'll have to put something as thick as a brick under it to suit my preference and I really don't think whatever I use will stay in place. I had 9 sheets of toilet paper folded up as tight as I could to make it as thick as possible and it started shifting around. I'm beginning to wonder if my anatomy isn't suited for Aneros products.

@zentai How would you compare the progasm to the helix and eupho?  Do you have the progasm ice or the classic one?

The Eupho is really my favorite, and I did some many mods on my Helix that it really does not work like it's supposed to, but it is / was a great performer. As I got used to using smaller toys, I hardly ever use the Progasm anymore, it's just not as comfortable as the others. I have the red Progasm. I prefer to be able to lube up minimally and insert straight away, and the Progasm takes a little more prep. It's really up to personal choice, I think the Maximus would feel like a bigger Eupho, but I don't own that one and it's hard to guess just by looking at it.

When you get aroused enough, the prostate will swell and become more sensitive, and this changes the geometry of things. I think you should stick with the models you have and see what happens.
