When did folks get a bigger model?

I have been using my helix for about 6 months now. I've been getting a lot of pleasure out of it, but I don't think I hit a super O. Anyway, probably like most of you, I got the e-mail for the deal on the progasm. I've been thinking about getting it, but wanted some advice on when people started on some bigger models and if people think maybe I should work more with the helix before getting the big one.

I don't think I am going to be much help to you DanMM, after the Helix, I got a Eupho which is definitely smaller. I got a Progasm, but it was much later. Good luck, that red Progasm offer is a good deal.

Dan,

I've generally recommended the Progasm to guys who are advanced users or those who are anal play veterans. At 6 months you're not an advanced user nor an anal vet, but you certainly do have some experience under your belt (so to speak). From the way that you've described it you've seemed to have had good results with the Helix, even though you haven't had a Super O yet. The Progasm is a great model, and it has been known to push some guys over the top, but it's just as possible that you could get there with the Helix, given more time. You're right, they have a nice deal in the works with the Progasm now. I'd say if you've been thinking of expanding your collection anyway, now is a good time to do it. Then again, giving the Helix some more time isn't a bad idea either.

I started with the MGX, got the Helix after about 9 months because it was so universally praised, I bought a Progasm at the same time because I thought it might be good to try it.

I love the Helix and haven't missed the MGX even though I sanded down the broken spare. I'm just about three years in on re-wiring and I am still hit or miss with Progasm. My main issue with the Progasm is the size. It is just large for my experience level and it takes me 2-3 minutes to get it placed and maybe another five to relax. Most of my immediate pleasure is psychological... it is big, it is a challenge and when it hits the spot it owns me. The hard part is getting relaxed enough without letting go of it, the Progasm likes to slide out and the more it exits.. the thicker it becomes. Ouch.

It is all going to depend on your experience level and physical ability to accomodate something of that size. If you're a virgin like me, you may want to wait a while but if you are more flexible it may be worth your while to give it a try.

If I didn't already have one, I'd jump on the deal they're offering.

DanMM,,

I found that progress went from SGX to MGX, then quickly to Helix and from there, like Buster, to Eupho, and for much the same reason.

I do have a Progasm and only use it occasionally when looking for a change or a challenge. My advice would be to get one and see how you go with it. We are all different and you might find it works like magic from the word go!

Pommie, when you say a change or a challenge, I am particularly curious about the meaning of "challenge". Could you explain that a little bit? I too was thinking about the Progasm offer. I currently only use the Eupho, which I got a great deal on as well. I'm just wondering what the differences are in the experiences.

rikaaim,

I'm trying not to get too serious about all this but I reckon there are a couple of mild challenges involved in my using the Progasm.

First is the challenge of getting the thing in to start with! I must admit that is getting easier with practice, but I do still find to be a bit on the 'large' size.

Second is that for many of us, the Progasm seems to be touted as the device which might get one over the hump into Super-O territory. I am forever curious to see if my next use of this model might be enough to do the trick. So far, it hasn't, but I can't say that is giving me any sleepless nights!

Perhaps I shouldn't even be thinking in terms of "challenge", but life would be pretty boring if it has no challenges!

Thank you for clearing that up [COLOR="#ffa500"]Pommie. I have seen many people say that it is slightly larger, which does take some getting used to. I know I wouldn't have that issue. I have also read some comment on the P-Tab and K-Tab being uncomfortable and needing modification, which I thought might be the issue you were talking about. Thanks for the post and clearing that up for me. 🙂

rikaaim,

P-Tab and K-Tab are not a problem at all. In fact, I would be happy to see similar tabs on other Aneros models.

I wonder if anyone else feels the same.

I bought a Progasm about a month after I started using the MGX regularly. (I actually bought the MGX years ago, tried it a few times and then put it away until I discovered this forum).

My initial experience with the Pro was some slight discomfort, not because of the size but because it just seemed to want to rest in the wrong position - like it was on the edge of being ejected. I recently (as in 2 days ago) modded it to move the K tab further away to change the angle the body inserts at (to make it point further forward). The result in the one 15 minute session I've tried since was far more comfortable (and pleasurable). Looking forward to being able to spend more time with it soon.

Hi fellas, I just have to get in on this one.

I started and failed, almost to the point of giving up, with MGX. It's a non-starter for me...even now as a completely rewired guy...it just doesn't hit the spot, if you know what I mean.

My second Aneros was Helix after about 2 months of frustration with my MGX, and I use it frequently to this day. But my favorite Aneros, by far, is my Progasm. I have to say that I modified it by cutting off the K-tab. I tried bending it first, but cutting if off completely really did it for me. Not only do I NOT get pleasure from either tab, the K-tab jabbed me in the ass in a way that was very uncomfortable. This modification allows the big ol' Progasm to move much better for me, at least, and allow it to caress my prostate sooooo nicely. Sends me off, almost every time.

I have used it multiple times, even in a single 24 hour period, and always find it gentle and comfortable. I get no sore spots or discomfort, whatsoever. It only takes less than a minute or so to insert it, and with gentle pressure and relaxation of my sphincter, it's never a problem. It's large, but it's very nice. And I, too, enjoy the insertion process, and linger over insertion as it passes various pleasure spots on the way in.

During even the most strenuous of Super O sessions, I have little difficulty retaining my Progasm. With plenty of lubrication, I can expel it to the first "lump" and still suck it back in...Oooooo...that's so nice.

Having said all that, I also use and enjoy my Eupho which is about as far-removed from Progasm as it can be.

Point is, Aneros is really more about rewiring than it is about size, DanMM, IMHO.

But regardless of which model you finally settle on (understanding that you don't have to settle on only one...I haven't) they all have the capability to "work". How they "work" on you can only be determined through patience and experimentation.

Get another one...hell, man, get two or three...one will be just the thing to push you down the rewiring road.

lol challenge?

I personally consider the progasm a walk-in the park.

In fact, I don't think it's even that big. I'd say it just normal sized.

It takes me 15-30 seconds tops to have it inserted.

you guys need to suck it up.

Don't want to sound like I'm bragging, but I reckon if you can afford them, you should equip yourself with the whole shooting match, including the complete Peridise set!

You simply don't know quite what to expect from any individual model until you have tried it and I'm still getting surprises. Sometimes, smaller is better; as witness, the Eupho.

When? Short answer...about 60 days into my 'journey.'

Started with a Helix and went smaller (SGX) after about a month into the journey. A month later I went large with a Progasm. (everyone's toybox needs a Progasm). Later I added a Eupho, a MGX and a tail-less SGX.

It's tough to avoid "toybox clutter." 😆

Late edit: It's particularly tough to avoid "toybox clutter" when you've got a local leather shop that merchandises a different Aneros tool next to the cash register each week.

I started with MGX (in November 09) then got the Eupho right before Christmas. I learned a lot from the Eupho (and still use it) but got a Maximus instead of the Progasm a couple of weeks ago and it has been great (really great!) for me. I've seen the pics and looked at the measurements (as well as Progasm packaging - Have Courage! - it says). The Maximus is definitely a fuller feeling than MGX or Eupho (haven't tried the Helix) and satisfying me just fine. I'm sure I'll get a Progasm in a few months but for now I'd recommend either Maximus (if you want bigger) or Eupho (if you'd like try something a little different). Take care and good luck!

I still haven't got any e-mails even though I think I've signed up.

Anyway I started with the Progasm, I do have a smaller glass dildo which I can use to lose things up a bit but I suppose two or even three fingers would do the same.

I have no experience with anal play earlier but no, no biggie getting the Progasm in.

I have no idea which one you should use, the Helix is probably ok, anyway don't hesitate on the size of any of them.

Personally I feel it quite a bit harder to insert the items if I have douched before, I've tried without and it's much easier. Guess the douche may upset the area / turn on off and also remove whatever is in there from the beginning .. (maybe soak up the lube making it less thick and slippery to.)
