Hi guys,

Yesterday, a good buddy on the Net who sleeps with his Aneros recommended that I use olive oil when I sleep with the Aneros which I hope to do very soon. Can any of you recommend a good brand or type of olive oil that is good for sleeping with the Aneros?

I hope to go to either Safeway or Giant in my part of town to find some olive oil in the next couple days.

Thank you,

Thom./BigGlansDC

Extra virgin has less odor, really it's about the smell. I've never seen anything about viscosity. I'm a newbie and have only used h2o based lubes

Well thank you, @GoodVib! I was in Aneros Chat Sunday night a few hours ago and a couple guys there advised me to buy extra virgin olive oil. I have been using Astroglide in all my Aneros sessions previously.

Thom.

Hello, Big.

Olive Oil works well, but since it is absorbed by your body, you might want to consider a beneficial oil, such as Walnut Oil, which is full of Omega-3. Safeway stocks Walnut Oil in the gourmet oils section, near the fancy Olive Oils.

For sleeping with Aneros, I coat the device with a very thin layer of Vaseline before coating it with oil. That way, if the oil is absorbed before morning, the Vaseline acts as a safety coating. The last thing you want is Aneros stuck inside.

Cheers,

Dave

Walnut oil can be yellow and may stain if it weeps. Sweet almond oil which is also beneficial is clear and may not stain if it weeps. If either oil is mixed with beeswax (Natural Jelly) the beeswax is not absorbed so acts like Vaseline.

Hi @jaxanerosuser, welcome to Aneros Forum! I shall take your word of advice along with those of @ten_s_nut and @isvara in advisement as I move forward cautiously toward sleeping with my Aneros.

However, @ten_s_nut or anybody who can answer, will Vaseline react badly with Helix Syn?

Another question: Is it possible to sleep with Aneros inserted every night, or should we sleep with Aneros every other night?

Thank you,

Thom./BigGlansDC

Thom;

I sleep with one or another Aneros model every night and have done so for about a year. No harmful effects as far as I can tell. The benefit for me is that Super-Os occur every night before I fall asleep and then again at dawn. Note that Aneros' manufacturer does NOT recommend sleeping with any of these devices.

Vaseline is safe to use on every Aneros model including Syn and your body cannot absorb it.

Cheers,

Dave
