What About The Peridise!

You've been busy writing this evening, as regards the Peristal, here's a link for you! - http://www.highisland.com/hm.php which looks to be the same as the Peridise http://www.aneros.com/peridise.php

Sounds interesting but I’m sure I’m missing something here. Doesn’t “inducing peristaltic contractions” mean inducing a bowel movement? Wouldn’t that cause painful cramping not to mention a mess? I’ve never heard the term peristalsis before until I joined this forum and it’s been mentioned often in regards to using glycerin based lubes and how they can give one the “urge to purge”.

Here’s a snippet from a response by B Mayfield on the using of an anal douche:

...one must try to avoid doing anything that will get peristalsis (the rhythmic bowel contraction) started. If the bowel becomes irritated and starts contracting, you're more or less committed to clearing out your entire system, which can be time consuming and sometimes unpleasant (cramping).

Anyone care to shed some light on this?

Onthepath, Peristalsis occurs throughout the alimentary canal. It is the means by which semi-digested, and ultimately fully digested, food is propelled along the gut. My understanding of the Peridise is that it induces peristalsis in the rectum only, which if clean, no mess. I have recently experienced quite mind blowing reverse-peristaltic (that's what it felt like, anyway!) orgasms whilst using a long, soft, curved dildo (for want of a better word) which is long enough to pass the rectal valves above the rectum. No mess then either 🙂

I hope that's the case. But since the rectum is connected to the colon, inducing muscle contractions in one may affect the other.

I'd be interested in knowing whether there will be any special prepatory steps for using the Peridise. I guess we'll all find out soon enough! 🙂

Another perspective if I may...

Whilst I am one of the last people to accept a manufacturer's assertion that their product is safe "because we say it is", in the case of Aneros/HighIslandHealth I have absolute faith and trust in their products to date. I am quite sure that they wouldn't market a product, after 'years in development', if, in use, it caused the user to have an involuntary BM & 'make a mess'.

I'll be watching closely for its arrival in the UK 😈

It would be nice to have a non-surgical treatment for hemorrhoids. I read the link and it does seem to make sense. It was interesting that you start out with the biggest one and go smaller.
