Does anyone have any idea how to increase testosterone?
Have you been to a doctor and had your T levels checked, are they low? Would taking supplements work for you? There are prescriptions for that and also stuff over-the-counter. I've been considering it myself, there are a lot of options available on places like Amazon. Joymode seems to be one that is pretty popular right now, at least I'm seeing it in advertisements.
I do it with a chainsaw and an axe. I don't know if there are any studies linking firewood to higher testosterone, but I feel great after busting a cord of wood. I thought vigorous exercise in general was one of the best ways to improve.
@regal13 Yah this helps and works to a degree, I think age has a lot to do with it. I'm 48 now. I'm aging and I can feel a change, happened early this year. I was trying clothes on from my closet, tried and true stuff, and my pants didn't fit. And then I looked at my stomach and was like "where the fuck did all this fat come from all of a sudden?" It was like gross as fuck, I'm never like that, whether I'm working out or not. Then I got on the scale and I was up 20 pounds 🙁 I gained like 20 pounds in maybe 6 weeks, I thought it was just holiday cookies and stuff like that. But I've done this every year for decades and never had a reaction like this. I'm always like 185-188 pounds at 6 feet tall, but when I was 208lbs out of the blue I cried, I couldn't get to 200lbs when I was trying as hard as possible to gain weight in my late 20s.
I realized I started to lose some momentum in my normal day. Some things I loved a lot seemed a bit lackluster. Even my drive to jam out to music has slowed down. When I walk I can tell my step has lost some vigor especially in the woods. I'm doing okay in the gym, I have gained strength and gone up in weight after not working out for real since Covid I quit the gym March 2020 and started back in March this year.
The one thing I notice the biggest change, and likely a drop in my T, is that I don't have the compelling uncontrollable urge to cum every day, especially every night. I'd just be so hot and bothered every night and I either fucked my wife or I came alone. I was cumming a LOT alone because my wife has only been able to have sex like a few times a month if that (menopause). But I go like all week without cumming and I kind of don't care. When I do cum its epic, its a big session, I throw it all down and have lots of fun. But I know there's a change in my chemistry. I plan to see my doctor in the next week or two for tests. I can't afford a drop like this I need it for my job, my work is physical and outdoors stuff, I have to stay strong or I risk career-set back injuries, and I want to cum all the time still!! I mainly don't like this low-T induced fat gain. I've done everything possible this year to lose weight and at best I've only dropped 5 pounds but I was nearly starving myself. I mean, no candy at all, I've had like 8 donuts this whole year, cake only two times, my wife baked one homemade blackberry pie from blackberries we grew, and fast food is maybe once every 6 weeks and hell everyone is allowed one cheat meal a week, but I only cheat like once every couple weeks and my cheats are not real!
Working out can help get the T flowing, but your gonads have to be making it. Hard work doesn't make your gonads start pumping out the T, it can help it, but a lot more goes on in our bodies than just that.
I have extensive experience with this. My levels were not low, but I wanted to "get ahead", so I went to my doctor to try a few things.
The most extreme thing you could do is TRT. The thing with TRT is... It is a lifestyle. Doing TRT correctly means you changing around your diet and getting into the gym. When on TRT, you will get random bursts of energy throughout the day. If you have no means of monitoring that, it will drive you crazy.
The downside of TRT is that you are pumping your body with testosterone, so your body stops naturally producing it. If you stop doing TRT, your levels will decrease to almost half of where you naturally were before TRT. It would take about a month or two for you to come back to normal.
You can also go on medications like Clomid. Clomid is not FDA approved for male use, but has been proven to boost testosterone. The pill tricks your brain into having your body produce more testosterone. This is something to only take for about 10 weeks. The idea here is with some people, neuroplasticity will take effect, and your body will produce more testosterone naturally. It didn't work for me, but when I was on Clomid, it boosted my levels by about 300.
The thing to note about all these things is the effect more testosterone has on your body. If you have more testosterone then you have more DHT production. DHT sensitivity could cause your body to lose hair or gain more hair. It also effects the prostate. If you are on these treatments, it is important you take Saw Palmetto.
There are natural herbs that claim to boost T levels. I've never tried them. My doctor did warn me that those herbs sometimes do not interact well with the liver. Either way.. If you do crazy stuff like this, you should be very regularly going and getting blood work done.
Only other things I can add... Resistance training will mildly boost levels. And while I have no evidence yet from my own personal use, I've seen taking higher doses of vitamin E helps.

Great post man, yah TRT is a lifestyle, my wife is on HRT for estrogen, T and progesterone and she is on it on like she can't miss a dose. I'd love random bursts of energy throughout the day though, I have plenty I can do all the time to put that shit to good use! Work being one thing! I'm just kind of dragging in areas where I used to love doing the stuff, but I'm kinda like blah about a lot of my passions anymore. Which sucks because I love the stuff, I just can't seem to get on it enough to do it. I am worried about DHT because I feel like it will cause more hair loss, I have very mild loss as I've aged, but I imagine it would make me lose a lot more 🙁 I just need to consult with my doctor, she's pretty damn good.
Interesting about clomid, though. I know its taken by bodybuilders when they come off Testosterone cycles.
Not feeling the way you once did could have many different reasons. While hormone imbalances will throw the body off, to my understanding it will not directly cause fatigue levels. I think your are looking at needing to boost serotonin and dopamine levels. That gets a bit more tricky if you are looking to do it naturally.
Best thing for you to do before anything is to get blood work done and see where you stand across the board.
@techpump yeah, man, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to write you off on the physical end of things, I know it affects everyone differently. We are in the same age bracket, and about the same height/weight bracket as well. I know at this age, I can't go at anything like I could 25 years ago, but oddly, I feel tougher? I have endurance as long as I don't overdo it with strenuous work. If I do that, I am beat down for three days. I can saw and bust a cord of wood just fine, but I don't have the same sex drive I had in the past, but i dont think i am at an abnormally low level, especially if im killing it with physical activity. I listen to all these podcasts: Sex with Emily, The Horny Houswife, Shameless Sex, Sexy Marriage Radio, et al., and they have all had low T as a topic. The one thing that shakes me about going on T is that once you go on, it is a rest of your life thing. There are an awful lot of medicine happy doctors out there IMO, just make sure that you rule out all the alternatives. All the best, my friend.

Its honestly just a hard feeling/sensation/thing to describe or put into words. Its like my life was one way forever, and now its not that way. Last night my wife and I had sex and we planned it from the day before. So I had a lot of time to think about it and get excited for it, and it was a playful and certain kind of day leading up to it. And OH MY what a fun exciting romp we had! I was very excited downstairs, performed perfectly, was really into it, super hot and horny, and I came super strong all over her (sorry for the gory details, but it's in context here lol). She's dealing with menopause too, and sex last winter was exuberant and fun, I could do it all the time and wanted to with zeal, we had intercourse 20-30+ minutes a few times a week for several weeks and everything was fantastic. I laid into my fleshlights for 20+ minutes (anchored with bungee cord on a homemade dock) until I was panting every night we didn't fuck. Then early spring, something changed and I'd go a week without the urge to fuck my toys till I was beat tired and ready for bed. My wife lost her pep, the HRT wasn't doing what it was doing, and her thyroid meds started to work differently. She bled all the time, false periods, really reduced our sex to once or twice a month whereas it was like 8 times a month, which was astounding considering we went 14 months straight with no intercourse at all prior to her HRT regimen starting. I gained all this weight, 20 pounds almost overnight, and just felt kind of blah-ish about a lot of things I never felt blah-ish about, ever. I decided to get back in the gym after 4 years of almost no working out (but maintaining a healthy weight and physique without ever trying, at all), and started to gain muscle, surprisingly, without really trying a lot of crazy stuff or even eating/supplementing in special ways.
But I still don't cum every night like I used to. I guess I could if I wanted to, but I've been feeling pretty tired/worn down by nighttime and I'm not doing anything different in my daytime normal life that's making me feel more tired. Maybe the place we've been renting for the last 3 years has radon and I'm getting radon poisoning lol?!?!! It could be an insulin thing. It could be a gluten thing. I need to do a test kit for food allergies, I feel like there's something/s in my diet that is causing me to feel a bit off. I guess I just need to see my GP to find out, she's concerned. Its been enough time and I haven't lost a pound after trying pretty hard to lose fat the last 9 or so months. If this was 4 years ago and I was 206lbs, I'd be down to 180 by now barely trying, just changing diet. I've been 203-209lbs consistently all year and the fat is in newer places where I've never had it before.
I will say I still have endurance and can bust it out without getting winded like I used to. I feel tough, yes, arthritic hip and rotator cuff issues aside. I'm going to figure this out and will report back soon after a doctor visit, which needs to be soon!
