Beware of an email from "Paypal" stating a transaction has been processed through the Anero's website and to click on the link to View/Cancel your order.
Yup, this is a real scam. I'd emphasize stumpy's feelings with a "do not click on that link to View/Cancel..."
I had four of these last month and all were directed to my gmail account (which is not the account I use for business transactions.) None were related, time-wise, to any orders I'd placed with the Aneros store. I immediately changed my Forum password and the gmail address in my profile. I checked my Paypal account and found that there were no bogus transactions.
remember also to check any/all links in that phishing email. Look for something like www.paypal.gl.com or an email address like . Don't respond to bogus addresses like those. Instead forward the email to paypal's security folk: .

@CT - Seeing that this and the other post here:
https://community.aneros.com/forum/discussion/14309/spoof-alert
...are important to Aneros forum users security, wouldn't it make sense to merge these two threads and make a temporary sticky of this?
Sorry I didn't see the other one till after I posted this.
But I agree that maybe it should be stickied to the top.
Aneros themselves have sent out an email warning about this scam. I got a copy of the warning this morning.
