Very Quiet Here Lately

Yes, the General Discussion screen does not up date. The latest posts are found under the Acivity tab.
the new site is a disaster. I now rarely look at it because it just does not work. I will probably drift away, pity.

While in Forums, click on Latest Activity. Select a post then click on Go To Post. It has been quiet but not too quiet.

Outside of the new site downfalls, when I look at older posts, it does seem we have less today. I don't know if there were more members in the previous generation or the new members are not as opened but there is a difference.

I cannot get the "Mark Channels Read" tab at the top is completely unresponsive and refuses to work at all , and the "Mark This Channel Read" at the bottom of each post refreshes, but still doesn't work. I contacted Support, received their usual automated "We'll get to it soon" reply, on the 27th of June, but as of today, still nothing. Some actually work, but the "General Discussion" channel will not mark as read. I'll have to contact them again.

"Mark Channel Read" sound good but it does not work very often. I gave up on it.

I miss the huge amount of thread titles all visible all at once. We're all a pretty smart group of people and don't think that it was "overwhelming" before the forum upgrade. It just takes too much time to find threads to read. Lots of wasted space for nothing, like the space between the member name, their rank/age, and then the block of "join date" and "posts." All this wasted space makes my eyes look at blank screen instead of text. I dropped off the radar the day the new forum launched and all my private messages, talking hundreds, disappeared and they are gone forever. I really have not been able to get over that loss. Nor can the people I was writing with a lot.

I guess this is the way it is now, and I want to contribute more often like I used to. I just hope I start doing it soon!
