I got to this page following this page http://www.prostate-massage-and-health.com/index.html while i was looking for alternative treatments for my CPPS problem. I am about to order one of these but first i have some questions:

1:
Will Aneros massages milk my prostate or just stimulate it, that is will the pressure be hard enough to pressure out any of the content in the prostate out through my penis?

2:
When going to a urology for prostate massage they usually put lots of pressure on the prostate to free the passages blockt by bacteria, will Aneros models have any impact on the blocked areas or is the pressure to low?

3:
What devices should i go for, im 26yo 185cm 80kg, i guess i would like to models putting the most pressure on the prostate...

Thanks alot for all the help i can get.

Hi oneMore,

Welcome to the Forum.

In answer to your specific question about milking here is a section of the WIKI that talks about this, see - http://wiki.malegspot.com/index.php?title=Understanding_Your_Body#Prostate_Milking .

1.) An Aneros can be utilized as a self milking device, though it will take you time to develop the skill.
2.) I am not a doctor, so I can’t answer your second question.
3.) IMHO, you are big enough to handle the Progasm as that is the most aggressive model in the Aneros lineup, but I would only recommend it if you are very comfortable with and experienced in anal play.
See the PM I sent you with some other info.

Thanks for the excellent answer!

I have no what so ever experience with anal play but i am very committed to getting it to work.
I am thinking about buying Helix and Progasm, would you say this is a good combo or are they to similar in construction (other then size)? I have read the reviews here and it seems like they are the two best products, my concern is if Helix is not getting the right places Progasm will not get there eighter?

Would also be fun to here how Aneros product compare to other products on the market like Nexus, drerecto and others?

oneMore,

It is impossible for me to predict how well those two models (Helix & Progasm) will fit you. I own both of them and I am very satisfied with their performance. I have never purchased any of the knock-off Aneros imitators so I can not speak to how they compare.

oneMore,

The Aneros was not intended to be used as you are suggesting, i.e. for milking - manually expressing fluid from the prostate. The device was designed to be powered by ones own contractions only with the idea of gently increasing circulation within the gland. That said, there have been some users who have used it in the way that you're referring to. The thing to bear in mind here though is that the Aneros is anatomically configured such that it is sized, shaped and canted forward in order to reach the prostate easily. What this means in a practical sense is that it works like a lever, where a modest amount of force of ones contraction is translated into a larger force at the tip of the device. In this way, it would be possible for ones hand to deliver very large amounts of force without great effort..with the potential of overdoing it.

Frankly, I do not recommend using the Aneros this way (nor does the manufacturer). It is best to have the vigorous type of massage administered by a trained professional (and by professional I don't mean sex worker). A person who has been medically trained in this, knows the proper amount of pressure to apply and the type of stroke to use, and what is more important, they will use no more force than is necessary to accomplish the task. That is, they will have therapeutic guidelines to follow. You won't, and if you're thinking that you're going to let pain or discomfort be your guide....guess again. The prostate is actually desensitized by continuous high intensity stimulation! That's right, you can become almost numb down there and that's when you get yourself into trouble....without knowing it!

Btw. I'm some years older than you, and I have suffered with chronic prostatitis for many years now. No question, it's been a tricky condition to deal with. I've searched for many years for a method of dealing with this. So far, the HIH/Aneros approach (combined with a modified diet), has worked best. Given that you're having difficulties already in this area I would you say to you that there is the potential of doing yourself more harm than good with what you're proposing. Muscular release, that is something else. I've known of several men who have learned techniques to help themselves. But a self-administered therapeutic milking is a different matter entirely. Despite what your linked website suggested (the one that suggested introducing a wooden drumstick into your rectum!!!), my advice is, if you're looking for vigorous prostate massage...for medical purposes....have it done professionally.

Know that I'm not trying to scare you, but rather to make you aware of what is really involved.

With respect to the "knock-off" products that you've referred to, I have tried them myself, and I can tell you that their use is questionable as self powered devices, let alone something one would power by hand. The fit and finish of these products gave me the distinct impression that they were designed by people who were involved in the manufacture of dildos and vibrators, certainly not medical devices. (The Aneros is a patented medical device).

With regard to the different models, my suggestion would be to go with the Helix, particularly if you have had no experience with anal play in the past. The Progasm is about 20% larger and it does deliver a more powerful massage.

Stay safe!

BF Mayfield

Another gr8 answer. Thanks!
I have now ordered the helix and my intention is to use it every second day ~30 after i take the antibiotic pill. I milked myself once yesterday using my finger and it works but i have to say that i do not think doing that to often is good. I did now really know what i was doing more like randomly moving my finger around. Will update this thread with results using the Helix.

oneMore-

for me, the key to managing CPPS was found in this very well regarded book:
A Headache in the Pelvis

have you read it?

the theory is that the problem is not your prostate but muscular tension in the surrounding pelvic floor muscles.

strongly recommend you read it.

darwin:

For me the problem has never been BIG pain, the only pain i have gotten is bi-testicle inflation while having prostatis. It is more like a constant urge to urinate and a very depressed state of mind and the feeling of constantly being out of energy and a hard time focusing on things.
I will look in to the book for sure, thanks for the advise!

Excellent post, as always Mr. Mayfield. I never knew what prostate milking was. From the linked wiki, it doesn't sound too good.
