Isn't Kaopectate just a certain type of clay? Then one would suppose that clay should have the opposite effect of glycerin in the rectum, right?
Hello Valliant, 🙂
Thank you for the link. Since I'm in the USA it would not be cost effective for me to purchase from a UK web site. Regardless, prior to my last post, I sourced and purchased Now Foods Shea butter through Amazon.com. Although there was a whole bunch of other sites that also sold it. How would you describe the melted consistency at body temperature of this Akoma shea butter? I assume it works well for you? Thanks.

If that's the case, I have yet to experience any constipation issues with shea butter used as anal lube.

Am down to the last few ounces of my first pint of AAA-unrefined, purchased from Amazon last year. (price is now $ 25 per pint).
A pint lasts a long time as it gets mixed with coconut oil. To check out Love-is's query about consistency, I opened a new pint of AAA to compare. Looks the same opaque cream color which changes to transparent pale yellow when melted. Fragrance is consistent with pint purchased last year--faint sweet, perhaps floral but not overbearing. (Much tamer than another brand I purchased from our local health-food and candle shop)
Latest listings for AAA show it now combined with lavender and another floral perfume. Not my cup of tea as I absorb aromatics into my bloodstream very rapidly.
Fresh from the container both pints (old and new) are firm/solid but can be scooped with a mellon ball scoop. The solid shea butter 'spalls' off the surface as the scoop digs it out of the container.
After returning to room temperature, following pastuerization (175 deg for 10 min) with coconut oil, the texture is a bit grainy but still cream colored. At body temp, it's very thin, fine and slippery and has excellent spreading characteristics from the point of injection. Butt I wouldn't refer to it as greasy in any way. It cleans up with mild soap or Dawn detergent.
For use, I put about 5ml into a small shot glass, draw up about 3ml to inject. I smear about 1ml on each of two tools my session.
A couple of months ago I had a severe "cost-accounting attack" and ran numbers on lube cost per two-tool session. It came out to about 20 cents for Slippery Stuff and 17 cents for the Shea mixture. However, the Now Foods Shea, at the old price of a buck an ounce would have come in at closer to a dime.
I haven't extended the calculations to cost-per-second but I'd bet that my Super-O cost is a lot less than any of the better Disneyland rides. 🙂
I plan on getting some Almond Oil and giving rumel's formula a try.
Hello rook, 🙂
Thank you for your informative post. Your combining of the shea and coconut oils seems to imply that either one on their own does not work as well as you'd like? It makes me wonder if the AAA shea butter is not thick enough at body temperature.

Can we now expect Disney Corporation to start talks with High Island Health to license the Aneros design for a new ride? “The Anal Pirates of the Caribbean” anyone? LOL I'm betting that with Disney's conservative and puritan ways, this would never happen!

I just cover all the aneros with a small layer of shea butter and not put some small pieces directly in me.
I always do sessions of 2-3 hours and when i take it out it's still very slippery.
I think it's a very good product but then again i never had anything else, other shea butter brands to compare it with.
Hello valliant, 🙂
Sounds like you got some good shea butter! 😀 That's the way it is with the Now Foods brand. Never have to re-lube for multi-hour sessions. And I've recently even found that after the first initial Aneros insertion, I can insert a different Aneros without lubing it. It's thick enough, and there is enough already in me that it just slips right in and moves around in me quite freely. Where as with the Alaffia brand, at the end of the two short sessions, the Aneros would come out fairly dry looking. And pushing out any residue in my rectum while on the toilet would show what looked like extremely light oil over the surface of the water. Not good. 😛

Hello Folks, 🙂
My two jars of Now Foods shea butter arrived yesterday, and I was able to have an Aneros session using it with no problems, discomfort, or pain. This is such good lube! Rich, creamy, slippery and long lasting. My last jar I had heated up to smooth it out, as there was some crystallization in the middle, and crumbly texture at the top. I'm now of the mind that this may not be worthwhile doing. As what I've found is that it increases the hardness, viscosity and melting point of the shea butter. It was still usable, just more grease like. But it's not as nice as it was fresh out of the jar. So the crystallization which melts at body temperature, and crumbly texture in the top layer is a small inconvenience for a really nice melted texture and viscosity of it at body temperature. Mind you, not all shea butter arrives this way. That's just a result of ambient temperature changes after the shea butter has been packaged. I've had some that were perfect in consistency upon opening the jar.
Also, just to make you aware...
Since this recent shipment, it appears that Now Foods has changed the packaging on their 7oz. shea butter, but it is still the same great shea butter.

Glad to hear you got the good stuff now.
For myself i know you should give the prostate some rest but it is so hard not to take it every day.
I'm trying to do a session once every other day but sometimes i have 3 in a row,so addictive.

Hmmm, you would turn those lateral shaking motorized seats in the DisneyWorld theaters into genuine "E" ticket experiences !! I'd hope that when you broker the Disney-HIH deal you provide preferred seating for the Full Moon Club ???
The coconut oil blend was picked up strictly from one of 's posts. I had been playing with various vegetable oils in an attempt to lower the melting point of Shea Butter or at least thin it for injection. Didn't help the temperature much but I found that Alv's blend seemed to have more slip than stock AAA. Lasting qualities are very good. I've had excellent residual lube after 4 hours of napping. Residual hasn't been objectionable in any way. It does augment "day after" butt buzz and, "next day" Aneroless practice is pleasurable and usually more productive of p-waves than when I'm dry. (I'm dry-assed, nowhere near artform or AW when it comes to producing my own lube or oily sweat.)
I dole the melted blend out into small shot glasses (5ml each) and keep chilled. For use, I nuke a shot glass for 3 sec. Inject 2.5 ml with a homemade lube shooter and smear the rest on the two tools selected for the session.
Only issue I have with shea is its tendency to leak when I get aggressive with the MGX or SGX (I suspect the stem-ribs may be the mean guys that aggrevate this). So, for foreplay I "stick" with Crisco (not great, but safe when we intend to do missionary.)
Hi Rook, 🙂
Thank you for explaining why you blend those oils together. Have you tried just inserting solid chunks of just shea butter in your anus and rectum rather than using this melted oil combo in a syringe? I can only assume there is a good reason why you prefer it the way you use it.

I've never had any problems with lube leakage that I am aware of. Usually what happens is if I am overly generous with the amount of lube that goes on the Aneros, a lot of it ends up being squeezed off on the outside of my anus during insertion, and thus melts and tends to drip onto my towel. So I usually make a point to wipe the back side of my ass crack before I start the session so as to wipe off any excess lube from dripping onto my towel.

Just an anal guy (feels OK) and have had good luck injecting the bulk of the pre-lube a couple of inches further up the canal. I also think I waste less lube using a shooter.
Re "leakage": When I'm on my stomach or active in missionary position a thin lube like KY or shea works it's way "down" on my balls and eventually onto my shaft.
Early-on, when we were using the Helix just for foreplay, my better-half developed a urinary infection that cultured out as e-coli. We were fortunate in killing it before it got into her bladder. Fortunately we share the same Urologist and he gave us a short course on sex-hygiene 101. As a result I switched to a less fluid anal lube (Crisco) when we anticipate doing missionary. No issue though if she is going to be on top and I'm on my back.
Our Uro noted that this is more of an issue with post-menopausal women who are not on hormone replacement therapy.
Ahhhhh, ok. It all makes sense now. Thanks for the info! 🙂

Hello People, 🙂
So my recent jar of Now Foods shea butter has been very crumbly. While the melted the texture is gloriously slick and creamy, trying to get a chunk of it rectally inserted and also spread on the Aneros was a pain and usually resulted in crumbs of shea butter every where. I used about ¼ of the jar that way hoping it would get better further into the jar. Nope. So I finally decided to once again to try heating up, melting, and stirring it. And it was a fantastic success! The trick is to do it very gently without over heating it. (From my past experience, accidentally over heating it in the microwave increases it's viscosity and melting temperature, and I didn't like how it performed afterwards.) I chose to put the uncovered jar in a pot of water on medium-low heat on my electric stove top. I set the timer for ten minutes. When I came back it was partially melted. I started stirring, and as I did this the un-melted chunks started to melt. I took it off the stove and just used the residual heat from the pot of water. I was able to completely melt it this way. Then I let it harden at room temperature for 24 hours.
The end result is great! Shea butter that stays together when scooped out, yet the melted texture is the same thick, creamy, and slippery. It so much easier to insert and apply with less waste. So give this a try if your shea butter is crumbly.
Peace & Love,

Well my Shea butter arrived today. its like in the upper 90s here and it sat in a metal box all day so when I got to it, it was the consistency of soup. So I stirred it and stuck it in the fridge. Hopefully its consistency is gonna be ok. Room temp in this house is like 77 so I figured the fridge was a good place for it. I'll let you know how the session goes the first time I get to use it.
Well that didnt go well. I used to balls of butter slightly larger than the ball on the p-tab on a progasm inserted them and then used some on the progasm. Things were going well at first but then I started to get a burning sensation at first I thought maybe I was to dry and that was causing the problem I added some more, but I think I just have an adverse reaction to the shea, guess its just my body. Had to cut my session short.
Hey Vinestal... Sorry to hear about the sting.
To my knowledge we've never had anyone produce an adverse reaction to shea. I think you are first in the wounded warrior line for shea.
My own wife, who has skin allergies, has used my unrefined shea to soothe radiation burns and has found it equal to the best of skin lotions like Lindi Skin.
Take a good whiff of that shea butter. If it's been perfumed or an astringent has been added (possibly for cosmetic use), you might consider tossing it. OTOH, you might attempt to save it by gently heating it and holding it at 175-180 degrees for five to ten minutes -- then cool it back to room temp.
Then take another whiff and apply a spot of butter to a forearm. If it passes those tests try a more sensitive spot on the bod and progress to the more sacred areas.

Hello Vinestal, 🙂
I'm so sorry to hear of your poor results with shea butter.
Like Rook said, your the first we've ever heard of this reaction to known good 100% unrefined shea butter of the pale yellow to white color. As far as feeling like you are too dry internally... You will know if you are lubed well enough internally if at the end of your session the Aneros comes out covered in a thin film of melted creamy shea butter. In addition, you should be able to sit on the toilet and push/squeeze out the shea butter in you.
But since you've had some similar reactions with other lubes I have to ask some questions:
Where exactly do you experience the burning sensations, and at what point. Meaning is it immediately after insertion of the lube? Or after the insertion of the Progasm? Can you feel exactly what is burning in your body?
Do you eat hot/spicy foods on a daily basis? In my own experience this can cause anal burning and discomfort. And makes Aneros sessions quite uncomfortable. As opposed to the occasional hot/spicy meal I can get away with no problems.
Have you tried giving yourself a rectal rinse before an Aneros session? Perhaps there is some fecal matter in the way.
Otherwise, I wonder if perhaps you have have damaged, or are experiencing some health problems in your anus, rectum, or prostate. As a last resort, you might want to look into having those areas checked out by a doctor.

Vinestal,
Since I have known nut and food allergies here's what I did with shea butter, and indeed any new fruit or vegetable that I try for the first time. I took a little shea butter and spread a very thin film on my teeth so that a little touched my gums. My lips and gums are sensitive to my allergies and any hint of itching, tingling or swelling means that food or product is a no go.
Shea butter passed this initial test and I subsequently broke off slightly larger chunk and chewed it without swallowing. After that I was able to use shea butter with piece of mind.
I believe that almost all unrefined, unscented shea butter is minimally processed and that helps me also. I can eat applesauce but not fresh apples for instance.
Good luck in your search,
J4
Love its possible that the burning was from something I ate. Im gonna give it another go next session I think. Ive never known myself to be allergic to anything. The burning was around my prostrate every time I contracted my PC muscles it was more extreme. Ive had another session sense using slippery stuff with no issues. Ive gotten the urge to go thing with lubes that contain glycerin so Ive tried to avoid those. This butter is very close to white when cool. Its also already been warmed and mixed once. The consistency was not an issue. Its also not a health issue, I recently had a prostrate check at my urologist. I think I gotta give this another shot.
Hello Vinestal, 🙂
Ultimately everyones experience is bound to be different in some ways. It's hard for me to imagine that someone would have a bad reaction to shea butter that wasn't allergy related. Particularly since the Slipperystuff Gel caused no problems for you. The only other thing that occurs to me is wondering if you have reached the point in your Aneros sessions where your anal muscles are completely relaxed such that you hardly notice the Aneros in you and it causes no discomfort. If your a new user that has not gotten to this point yet, then perhaps this may be the problem you are experiencing. I think like you said, you need to keep trying until you figure out what the issue is.

I inserted a little last night just by itself not during a session and felt no ill effects. I think that may have just been a fluke thing. Gotta refrigerate though if its not cold it melts before I can get it in. I cant imagine not feeling the aneros especially the progasm I'm certainly not to that point yet. The burning was a first for me though and hasn't happened before or since.
Love its possible that the burning was from something I ate. ....
Strong probability. Several weeks ago I was enjoying an impromptu (doucheless) early morning session and experienced some burning. I took a couple of minutes to realize it was the result of an error I'd made 18 hours earlier.
At lunch, I'd reached for a bottle of Louisana Hot Sauce but accidently grabbed a bottle of Texas Pete HOT. Went ahead and enjoyed the two tacos.
Got to savor the burn a second time. 🙂 Moral to the story -- The Aneros experience amplifies everything.
I wish someone would sell this product in premade balls or something easily inserted.
Bingo -- that'll work. Last week someone mentioned forming soft Shea into "finger shaped" pieces and chilling them until they were firm enough to handle like a suppository.
Early on I wanted the same thing and I resurrected an old bullet mold. I produced a bunch of .38 caliber shea butter bullets. Same problem though. They had to be kept quite cold until insertion. As soon as I'd start to handle them, they'd melt.
I finally decided that it's just easier, quicker, less messy and less wasteful to inject soft or melted shea.
If only I had a bullet mold *sigh*
If only I had a bullet mold *sigh*
quick look at eBay had several. Search **bullet mold** . If you've not been into reloading, do some reading on that first so that you select a workable mold for a suitable shape (ball) and mass (more will be better) of bullet. (we're not looking for blunt nosed bullets here and you'll not need something with the leverage to compress lead). A search for ** suppository mold ** only produced items aimed at the antique ($$$) medicine or small pharmacy production customer.
Honestly, I think a homemade lube shooter and softened Shea or Gel is easier. However, there's a lot to be said for doing something that's a turn-on--perhaps shoving in several .45 cal slugs of shea might be a great form of Aneros foreplay 😉

What do you use as a homemade lube shooter? Ive been using a medicinal syringe its like a syringe without a needle basically but theres a spot near the end that make insertion difficult. Id be interested in what others are using.
Posted a couple of days ago as item #4 in -- http://www.aneros.com/forum/f5/question-about-natural-jelly-internal-application-14656/ --
I didn't like much about small the enema tip on the standard shooter and it wasn't suited to semi-soft shea butter. Advantage in this one is that coming out of the shotglass it's well lubed and easy to insert (particularly if there's some lube left over from douching). It also offers some dilation which seems to improve lube distribution and makes tool insertion a piece of cake. At first I thought it large however, it's only 1/8" larger than the douche pipe on our shower adapter and the shape is about the same.
If you make one of these, size the orifice so that it's large enough to easily suck-up and discharge partially softened shea butter but not so large to snag your outer sphincter when you insert. It's all in the polishing.
Operation: Remember to bear down against it as you would Progasm. Then, a tiny squeeze on the plunger as it's opening the outer sphincter. Shove it on in a couple of inches before emptying it. That gives you a good shea coating on the sphincters and another glob on up the canal.
I made two of these in December and am still using both. Easy cleanup with Dawn anti-bacterial or Dial liquid and warm watter. Occasional soak in some hydrogen peroxide followed by a rinse in tap water.
Ive been using 5ml syringes they seem to work fine with slipery stuff so I dont know why they wouldnt work with shea. Sounds like your using something slightly larger. Im not really understanding how your adapting it exactly, but the 5ml syringes seem to work fairly well just a little rough inserting them.
The problem I had was that the thick shea butter wouldn't draw easily into the syringe due to the small I.D. and length of the enema tip on the shooter I bought. There was also some wasted butter that had to be cleaned up which led me to pipe cleaners etc. etc.
I wanted to cut the pointy adapter off the end of the barrel and enlarge the opening. Decided I'd start with something cheaper in case I screwed up the job.
