I am learning all the time. Each session is not always better than the last but it is different. I was always looking out for the bigger, larger experience. The longing to cross over into the realms of bliss and stay there forever was always in my mind. I was too often let down and became down-hearted and despondent.
Then I read some of the teams comments and began to see that too much effort can and does hinder progress. Now I begin my SHORTER sessions with no expectations and no short-term targets. No Super O in an hour!! I simply prepare, insert, get into a comfortable position and RELAX. I look at all the flowers on the way and enjoy the scent and soak in the warm sun. (A bit over the top? No way. Just right!) But do nothing.
No matter how little or how faint the colours or scents are, I am grateful for the moment. I don't stay too long. Maybe 30mins or so. BUT, I have found that adopting this attitude, I am gradually finding each session more and more rewarding. It's like trying to get back with a partner with whom you have fallen out with and you are trying to get it together again. Don't push it. Let her/him find their own way and it will happen sooner. Try too hard and you will most certainly loose it.
I hope this will help anyone who is having doubts and difficulties. Oh yes! I have also discovered that when things begin to go well, I feel a great sense of well-being and inner happiness during the day. Good luck and enjoy your very good fortune. Tomasheen.

I often have to remind myself to quit 'trying'. I agree completely with the 'less is more' philosophy.
